1.33% Major Capsaicinoids (MC). This is NOT the amount of pepper in the formula (OC%). This is the strength of the entire formulation. EPA says you can deter an attacking bear with 1.0%MC. (Do not attempt to use this small canister on bears as it doesn't have a 30+ foot range.)
