The water on the ship is potable but did not taste or smell good. Before the cruise, I followed the instructions for first use. It was messy because I hadn't tightened one piece well. Once I figured how much to tighten everything, no leaks. My husband chose to drink directly from the straw, but I preferred to squeeze out the water into a container. Very easy. You can hold it upside down and water will drip from the sip part of the straw or you can squeeze to hasten the flow. This is going to go with me on all trips now. Light, takes up little space in my suitcase, and does the job. We aren't brave enough to try this on dirty water.

Lo compré por las bolsas, no he usado el filtro, pero las bolsas ya las usé, muy buena calidad y te evitan el peso de los envases comunes.

Seam of pouch leaked after one year. About 3 one month long trips.
Update: at 18 months 2nd pouch leaked same place as 1st pouch at one year mark. One of the filter pouches sprung a leak at the seam around the top opening. Glad I brought two of the pouches on my trip otherwise I’d be SOL. The seller did send an entirely new set. But take multiple with you on any long trips in case they leak as mine have.

Convenient
This is Very nice and easy to use ! The Bags are really heavy duty and should last for years . I really like that you can squeeze the water thru and very quickly fill a 20oz water bottle . I plan on buying a few more to stash away for emergency.
