Enbrighten Z-Wave Plus Smart Receptacle, Works with Alexa, Google Assistant, Tamper-Resistant, Z-Wave Outlet, Always On Outlet, Hub Required, Smart Outlet, Lamps, Small Appliances, 700 Series, 58449

This outlet controls the recirculating domestic hot water pump, 1/8hp. Replaced a 500 Series GE outlet that failed after 5 years with the 700 Series 58449. It began misbehaving after 5 weeks (do these things have the 30-day return programmed?) For others suffering with the GE Enbrighten, the problem seemed to be continuous broadcast on the Z-Wave, which blinded all other devices. Turning off the breaker for a bit reset the device, allowing everything to work again. But it failed again after another three weeks. Will replace it with another of the same model – apparently, I’m at the “fool me twice” level. No problems with the Z-Wave light switches, but now realizing I may have selected the wrong ecosystem. The Z-Wave hub is a Honeywell Tuxedo, and integrated with the alarm system. Anyone have a reliable Z-Wave duplex outlet option? Maybe I need to replace everything with some better-implemented technology like WiFi.

I bought this to replace the outlet in my network cabinet, where I previously had a smart plug. This saves space in the cramped cabinet. I chose this particular outlet because I could confirm that the Z-wave -controlled socket defaults to its prior state after a power outage. I definitely needed this feature for my router. It paired easily with my Hubitat Elevation hub, but I expected as much, especially given that they are only inches apart.

Quick delivery. Hopefully this latest release of the z wave plug will hold up better outside in a now. Certainly like the new design.

Enbrighten is my to-go brand when it comes to z-wave. I own more than 30 units/devices (previous series) but this new series is very unreliable. I have to reset it at least once a week because it gets completely unresponsive, even it does not work manually. I bought three of this series and same issue, so clearly it is not an issue with one specific unit. I personally will not give up, I will work with factory to get issues solved. Will report findings

Doesn’t work as intended. When connected to home assistant, it goes dead constantly and can’t make it work until I totally power it off by turning off and on the corresponding breaker. That makes it work for half a day and then it becomes unavailable again (it keeps providing power to appliances but can’t control it). It doesn’t have any features beyond controlling the on and off status of its plug. There is no power metering or even the power off memory setting that most have. There is no firmware upgrade available so it seems this bug won’t be solved. Have tried to connect it via S2 and S0 to Z-wave JS but it remains unstable
