16 Gauge Silicone Wire Soft and Flexible Low Impedance (8.2ft Black and 8.2ft Red)

I’ve bought a lot of silicone cable over the past couple of years, I’ve not noticed any particular difference between vendors or specific products that I’ve purchased, they all seem to be of the same quality.If you haven’t used silicone wire before, then you are probably at a point where once you have tried it then you won’t go back to standard plastic coated cable.Silicone cable is incredibly flexible, when working on maker projects where you often route cable through something, having a flexible cable can make the job many times easier than normal plastic cable. Stripping silicone cable is also a lot easier, meaning you’re less likely to go through multiple attempts at stripping resulting in cables all of different lengths, one thing to note is that because it’s easy to strip you need to be careful when routing cable if there are any sharp edges, silicone is a “grippy” material, so if you snag it on a sharp edge it’s likely to shave off a section of insulation, so go gentle and be careful.As always, my only real gripe is with the price, cable is pretty expensive and silicone cable is even more, so you’ll probably want to make sure that you cut it to the right lengths from the start, ending up with lots of short sections is bad for your wallet!

My Jimny has 2 led spot lights. They are wired into the full beam via a relay. One had stopped working and one was not fully illuminating. They were wired together and then into the relay and earth. Wiggling the earth made the illumination of the poorly performing lamp ok…so it looked like I had connection issues. Checking I found that the recommend gauge for spot lights was 16 gauge, I ordered the wire. It arrived 1 day earlier than expected. The wire is flexible (silicon outer) easy to cut and trim back the outer. I made up replacement lengths for the lights and loose fitted to test to see if the other light would work - and it did. Made all connections permanent and tested ok post instal. Note - I did use previously purchased automotive bullet connectors etc to join the wires.

Used for rewiring a lancer tactical airsoft m4, thicker guage than previous/standard wire so it was trickier to run through the rif and harder to get neat solders onto the deans connector but at the same time it is so flexible so when folding into the buttstock with battery it moves easily and the coating is very durable.Rif is performing incredibly consistently now where previously there were constant trigger response issues so It's clearly been a great investment!

Good for what I needed

Decently packaged in an anti static packet. Cable is good quality and made with soft silicone so is easily flexed.

I bought this to rewire my airsoft gearbox . The wire is great however it is thicker than i was expecting but works great I have wired now outside of the gearbox to avoid the pinion to bevel chewing the wire 😀 the great thing is the amount you get for the price works out perfectly with loads spare.

This stranded silicone wire is indeed super-flexible and you can strip the ends for connection very easily. A pleasure to use

Ottimo cavi elettrici, sia il materiale esterno in silicone che i fili interni in rame, sono d ottima qualità, li ho acquistati per realizzare un circuito per una cassa Bluetooth, ottimi soprattutto perché sono morbidi e non sanno problemi in termini d ingombri
