3149 Gold break arch mantel clock, 14.5 x 15 x 6cm

My husband and I took ages choosing this clock. We wanted a clock to replace an old one which had stopped. We chose this clock because of its size, clarity in reading the time and it's fit-in factor in the living room. It is a good weighted clock and because it looks good, we decided to put it on the mantlepiece. I have given only 4 stars for "easy to read" because although we can read it, when the sun comes out, the gold face tends to shimmer, making it a bit difficult to read. Still happy with it!

The clock meets all expectations except it gains approximately 5 minutes per week. I contacted The London Clock Co. and was told not to use Duracell Batteries as these for some reason can make the clock lose time! The clock came with a battery which I was using and have subsequently replaced it with another battery but the clocks is still gaining. I was told to return it to Amazon if I was unhappy with it but have decided to keep the clock and adjust the time weekly.

Badly designed. In ordinary daylight the only visible thing is glare and the hands aren’t really visible until dusk for example.

Chosen for size being the smallest available, but probably a mistake. It’s impossible to read the time unless you are standing directly in front of the clock because of the shading on the clock face

Lovely looking clock and easy to read. However, did expect a second minute hand for the price? Haven’t had it long enough to comment on timing but hoping it will keep good time.
