Is this a practical tool for outdoor knives?

In my opinion, no. That is unless you have outdoor knives that aren't being heavily used. This is more ideal for kitchen knives that need a touch up and then run across a strop.

What is the equivalent grit rating for the CS2?

Don't hold me to this but compared to the other ceramics I use, I'm guessing around 800 to 1000. To me it's good, I don't have to work it too hard to bring up the bur and get that polish finish. Nice tool.

Will this work on ceramic knives

Ceramic knives can only be sharpened by the manufacturer
