Screen was brand new, packaged well, and came with really helpful tools so I did not have to purchase more. Customer service was also on point when I needed to make an exchange.

Worked well on my laptop, now my laptop can be used unplugged as the charge holds like it did, when it was new.

I installed, removed, and reinstalled five times, and the battery is slightly too thick, so it presses against the trackpad. The thickness of the battery causes the trackpad to go crazy. I ended up having to do troubleshooting for almost 6 hours before realizing this is not going to work I ended up having to take it into a computer repair store and they were able to fix it appropriately. Extremely disappointed in this product. What a waste of money and money time. Also, the phone number listed for customer support does not work, and the email address never responded.

I am actually very impressed with this and how easy it was! I have had my Mac since it was released 5 years ago, and it went from great battery life to a lot less. I think it was down to like 78 percent max capacity. The instructions were very specific and clear, and they explained every single step from start to finish. They even showed images of every individual step as well. The hardest part of the installation was removing the old battery from the device because it was attached with a super strong adhesive. I made the mistake of using a small metal screwdriver that made the battery spark. It was terrifying, but didn’t do any damage, luckily. Once the installation was complete, I was seriously so relieved when it began powering back on. The first thing I did was go into settings to check the maximum capacity of the new battery. 100 percent! This kit is awesome and saves a LOT of money. This is about 1/5th the price of what they charge at the store. It really isn’t difficult to DIY. You basically need to know how to use a screwdriver. Definitely worth it.

Battery works well, and has restored my MacBook Pro to a healthy state. The installation process is not easy at all, but that is not the battery manufacture's fault, it's Apple's. Getting the old battery out is not for the faint of heart. My only complaint is that the instructions get a little vague at times. Overall, if you are brave and don't mind a challenge, then this kit can restore your battery life.

I've done battery swaps before. Each time I tell myself "Yeah, no. Not doing that again." And yet, "again" always seems to happen. I was apprehensive when I first read the product description but thankfully the installation instructions are clearer. This is still a significant repair for us mere mortals, and I recommend going slowly and getting help (there are hundreds or more YouTube videos on the process) if you have the slightest bit of uncertainty. Remove the old adhesive carefully and try to not disturb anything that doesn't need removing. And, generically-- as in, not specific to this particular battery-- have a backup plan for when you destroy your machine. Most of the tools and materials you'll need are in the box. Once successfully installed, plan on the OS and settings needing to "re-learn" the battery state and estimated remaining power. Honestly, the battery and connectors seem solid. Most of what can go wrong in an installation is user error. Just be careful and, again, have a backup plan.

I bought this battery for MacBook Pro Model A1708. The battery came with all necessary tools. The battery holds a charge very well—comparable to when the MacBook was new. It is perfect for my daily tasks. If your A1708 MacBook Pro is showing signs of service recommended this replacement is definitely worth it. Very satisfied with the performance and value.

My macbook showed up the warning sign of the battery and i started to notice that battery runs down quickly. I know how to fix phones, tablets and laptops… and its a good battery to use.

It took quite the time and effort for me to complete the installation. The main points of problem were: - Removing the lid underneath: I was afraid to break things so I had to take it very slowly, but it turned out that it wasn't as fragile as I was afraid. - Removing the existing battery: That was the worst part that took hours because the three-piece battery was glued very strongly. In fact, I had to bend the battery out of shape in order to remove it, afraid that the lithium battery could catch fire because of the physical force exerted. I had to use a spoon, although a knife would probably have worked the same. - Inserting the small battery cable back into its flat port: the cable and its end were very small and the port very flat, I had a hard time inserting it into place properly. - The screw of the lid had at least three different lengths. While two were obviously shorter, the lengths of others looked the same, but were not. It took several tries until I noticed the length difference. In the end, everything went fine and the battery was installed correctly without any problems. The MacOS information showed the battery with the SNSYIY brand and everything worked fine. I have yet to see how the battery life compares, but that is the least of my worries as my main goal was replacing the original battery that was failing. To start from the beginning, the kit comes with many parts including gloves, screwdrivers, and a patch. However, the installation mentions using alcohol to weaken the adhesives on the existing batteries and that was not included. It is understandable as including alcohol, a flammable liquid, in a package with a Lithium battery does not sound right. I would tell you to take note to have some rubbing alcohol ready for the installation, but to be honest, it did not seem to help me. It is likely that different models might have different gluing methods. What seemed as something easy in the manual, the removing of the glued original batteries, took most of my time, disfiguring the original batteries in a dangerous way. I was planning to keep the original batteries as a backup spare, but there is no way I would dare to use them again. Instead, I will have to dispose of them the right way as they have become more dangerous than they were. The instructions manual had a lot of steps and had a lot of visuals to show and explain things. Still, there were times I was not so sure of what the step was, but in general, the manual was quite good. Checking what others wrote in their reviews, I have these to say: - There were two sets of screws and two screwdrivers. Each screwdriver worked perfectly with the matching screws. - You don't really need to know the year of your MacBook. The model information is printed at the bottom, at least, mine was, maybe different models are different. What you need to do is look at the bottom and note the model code that starts with a capital A. Alternatively, you can get the same information from the MacOS (check Internet). You can compare the model code with the information on the product page. Overall, it took quite the time and effort, but in the end, I managed to replace the original battery, and the new battery works fine. Unfortunately, I had the original battery get distorted out of shape while trying to free it from the adhesives, which I felt was dangerous, and it rendered the original battery not reusable. But I am happy with the end result. I can't yet make any comments on the performance of the replacement batteries, and that was not my primary concern anyway.
