Giro Hale MIPS Helmet

If you are like me, crashing over curbs or terribly built ramp, or going as fast as possible on a bike as a kid, was all done without a helmet. Luckily things have changed and going biking with my family always includes grabbing our helmets. My daughter (9) loves this helmet. It's super light and with the dial in the back we were able to adjust for a perfect fit. The vents allow for air circulation so she doesn't get hot and the chin strap is long enough to adjust without discomfort. She loves the vibrant colors and I love that the color makes it easy to spot her when she is riding around the park. And when we went ice skating for the first time, she grabbed her helmet!

We bought this for our 3 year old son to go along with a new Strider 14X balance bike. The color of the helmet matched the bike and the features were the real draw. First off, it's lightweight and the vents provide cooling– my son rides his bike all around our condo complex and never complains about feeling hot or the helmet being too heavy. He has long curly hair and it never gets caught in any of the parts or straps so that's a plus as well. The helmet looks like it safely covers his head and it fits him exceptionally well. It is well worth the money to have peace of mind knowing that if he ever takes a tumble off of his balance bike his head will be safe. The Giro measurements on their website were accurate. Do not hesitate to buy this helmet. Highly recommended!

My kid likes the fit of this helmet and likes to wear it. The color and graphics are cool also. Sizing chart is true to fit.

Bought the Giro Hale MIPS Youth Visor Cycling Helmet in blue for a teenage boy. It fits him perfectly, with plenty of room for adjustment. It is very lightweight, with a nice sun visor, and the bright blue color will be visible on the road. It is simple to adjust the diameter with the dial on the back. I tried the helmet on too (adult Woman), and it was perfect size and shape for me.

the visor sometimes pops off when we toss the helmet in a bin. would prefer magnetic buckles. excess strap is a bit dangly on my 4&6 yo. but still 5 stars for great protection, lightweight, good ventilation, kiddos like them.

This helmet is great. I love that the back adjusts to the head. It’s very comfortable and fits appropriately on my child’s head. My only complaint is that when both of my children first started wearing the helmet (it fit correctly circumference-wise), the shortest length of the chin straps was still too long for it to fit appropriately.

Giro is a very well known bike helmet company. They know what they are doing, and this helmet is obvious. It has the ease of resizing/fitting on the fly with the idea of comfort added in. We received a lower end helmet (from a different brand) that has the "same" functions. Yes it can resize on the go, but the comfort factor is low. Our kids hate wearing it. This Giro helmet is the best and the kids love to wear it for style and comfort. I will only buy Giros now for my children.
