One of Us Is Back (ONE OF US IS LYING)

I read this book series in order. I enjoyed the suspense and mystery in each chapter. Also, I love how each chapter was written from a different character’s perspective!

This is the third book in the series and the fourth book I've read by this author. I love all of them! As a 40-something woman, these characters take me right back to high school and being a young adult, just trying to figure out who I am and who I wanted to be. The initial love story between Nate and Bronwyn made me feel like I was falling in love for the first time again! 💜 The story lines are good and these books make for a quick and fun read. The only critique I have is regarding format. Each chapter is written from a different characters POV. There are a lot of characters, so it can get confusing! It would be great if the chapter "author" were listed at the top of bottom of each page. I have seen this in other books with similar formats and it is very helpful! Would love to read more of the Bayview Crew / Murder Club in the future and see what new adventures they might have!!

I got this for my girlfriend because she had mentioned that she had the first 2 books in this 3 part serious. She hasn't said much about it as she hasn't had too much time to read it but from what she's told me, she seems to be very happy with it

This book was one of the best in the series. I love how the plot unfolds and the characters develop in such a short time. Truly an awesome book!

The first two books I flew through. This was easy to put down and come back to. Not a bad book by any means, just not that grasping “must finish” the OG’s had. I think I might have spaced out the books too far as well because I couldn’t connect with any of the characters. Also, maybe a little too extra with trying to be mainstream?

So the past comes to haunt the newly renamed Bayview Crew. An antagonist is set free due to a jury mistake and somebody is kidnapped, all because of a very old grudge involving someone who died in the first book. There were some parts that dragged a bit but otherwise a solid ending to the trilogy.

Each book has its own surprising twists, all while being intertwined with each other and the third book in this trilogy is no different. Get to know the beloved characters from books 1 and 2 on a deeper level while being introduced to more. I promise you won’t want to put this one down!

One of us is Back by Karen McManus is a fitting conclusion to the popular young adult series. I certainly don't fit the target cohort for these books but found them thoroughly enjoyable and have in fact read everything by this author. These books are wildly fun to read, easy to devour and don't feel immature at all. I've found the books to be complex, layered and tackling heavy topics that would appeal to a wide audience. This final novel brought together the loose threads from the previous books and tied it all together in a fast-paced and thrilling conclusion. I liked the chapters which gave us some further backstory and context for some characters from the first two books which was fun and interesting to read about. Karen M McManus is an auto-buy author for me and I will happily buy anything she writes and devour as quickly as possible.

For some reason I got it in black???????? But otherwise the book seems fine

It ended the way it was supposed to end

Have bought for my daughter and she has loved it and will buy others title too
