Definitely complicated, unless we're just not very good at it. But it's an adventure to learn!

Popular and well designed game system.
Space combat/expansion euro-game styling. Multi-aspect game. Simple to pick up, but hard to play well. Can be played without nuance, just for fun. Serious competition as insights are found. Very replayable. Lots of solid playing pieces. Good value. Some unusual card dimensions, but mostly standard size. More than one strategy can win.

Quite possibly the best space board game ever made. We have enjoyed so many great games with 2,3 and 4 players - can get some crazy strategies going. Even without the leaders it’s good, the first couple of games we thought it was all about having the cards you want but realised quickly it’s about using what you have.. worth watching the YouTube tutorial .. and if you truly want a challenge the expansion … in the blight / mind blown ..

Divisive
Really cool idea, hard to play. The way the turns work, you can feel like you're not doing much. But I like it. I've played it with people that absolutely hated it though. They felt it was too restrictive to get anything done, and too changeable to make any kind of plan. So it really depends on who is playing. If you like the sound of the challenge and the trick taking, it's very high quality
