How do you insert an axle into the bearing-- if it's too small it won't engage the bearing. Does one crimp it somehow?

The axel should be only slightly smaller in diameter of the inner hole on the pulley. Mine is held in place on my printer by the sidewall of the bracket and nylon bushings on either side of the pulley that holds it onto my printer and keeping it aligned with the drive motors pulley on the other end.
