Wholesale Chess Triple Weighted Pieces and Mousepad Board Chess Set (Black)

You've probably seen that other anonymous-brand vinyl chess board that's all over the internet— the board and pieces are all the same size, but that vinyl board really gets creased badly. This product arrived tightly rolled in the packaging, and unrolled perfectly flat! It's nice and heavy too– it flops down on the table in a very satisfying way, and the rubbery bottom provides great grip. Slight downside #1 — The pieces don't slide as well as you'd expect from a polished wooden board, but it's definitely not "sticky". I was expecting resistance against the woven top layer of the pad, and there is some, but not nearly as bad as I expected. Slight downside #2 — I wish the carrying case was a bit wider. When you roll up the board, the pieces fit nicely in the middle, but only if you take them out of their bags. The strap is also pretty short, barely fits around my shoulder. I would have done 4.5 if possible, but 4 is too low. Loving this thing!

Love this set. I wanted something easy to set up and put away and take on trips. It fits the bill. In my option the case is a little tight. No place for the pieces except dump them in the center after you get the board rolled up. But on the other hand it makes it a very compact unit which is great the way my wife packs on vacation. I can slide it under a seat if necessary! Would recommend. Great bang for the buck and well made. Love the board and it doesn't curl!

Purchased this as I have been playing chess competitively! I wanted a mat that was not vinyl, because I noticed those do not lay flat after being rolled up. This mat is thick and nice material (mousepad material) the weighted pieces are very nice. Heavy, beautiful, and felt bottoms. The tubs fits the mat but unless you don’t use the plastic bags for the pieces they don’t fit. Not a huge issue but wish I could fit both without pouring them in the center. Overall a lovely set, I’ve played on it a few times, excited to take it to tournaments. :)

The board is like a giant mouse pad and is really awesome. the pieces are very light and of questionable quality. When I received the set, one of the pawns was broken. I contacted the seller the same day and was told I would be sent a replacement pawn, but one was never received. Overall, a good starter set, but not sturdy enough for fast play (blitz). I doubt they are truly triple weighted. The carrying bag is also ok. Quality of the bag is good for beginners, but there are no separate compartments for the pieces. So, you have to dump all the pieces in the bag which once again could result in some of the pieces breaking considering their quality.

Pieces have a nice velvet feel to them, really nice weight -- felt bottoms. Very nicely sculpted & designed pieces. The rubber mat/board is good quality -- personal preference would be for it to be smaller but this whole set is high quality and enjoyable to play with. Not a set to play on an airplane but all rolls up into a travel bag to set up at your destination. Plus a bit large for travel.

This set is super nice. The pieces have a nice heft without being heavy. The mat is like a mouse pad, super soft and lays flat every time.

Loved it works perfectly, the carrying case works very well also. Chess board is large which is great to help teach new players, but needs some extra room like a picnic table.

Great Set! Bought as a gift, liked it so much that I bought another one for myself.
