how many cups of farro per 17.6 oz package?

I poured my newly arrived bag of farro, a 3 lb bag, into a large measuring cup and it measured 7 C so 17.6 oz would be just over a third of that. I measured out around 17.5 oz using my kitchen scale and then measured the volume to find ~2.25 C.

What is the expiration on the bag if bought today (2016).. thanks...

I've used farro upto a year after purchase and it has worked the same as if I used the day after purchase. Not really sure that there is an expiration date issue with farro.

I see this is from Italy- it's not listed as organic. Do anyone know if this type of grain is sprayed? I have no idea.

Farro can be 3 different kinds of grain. The description says emmer, but also says don't rely on the description. What is the actual variety of this?

Odds are it is emmer as that is the most commonly cultivated species in Italy. However, as consumers, we may not be able to discern the differences between the three species...perhaps an ethnobotanist may know the nuances of each species.
