Aquarium HOB Filter 105 GPH for 10-20 Gallon Fish Tank Power Filter with Adjustable Water Flow Extendable Intake Tube External Hang-On Back

I love this filter. It's kinda loud but not like motor noises it's more water fall noises which can be fixed by adding more water to my tank so it's not hitting the surface as rough but I don't mind cause it gets the job done perfectly. Only issue I had is the filter cartridge it came with constantly caused the water level to rise which the light indicator showed but a different filter cartridge and you're set!

Very good filter. The media compartment is a little small, I can’t add extra media as I like to do with my HOB filters. But it performs nicely, is quiet and it’s nice to be able to adjust the flow for the size of the tank. It’s not self-priming, you have to fill it with water before turning it on. Big deal. I’m used to doing that with all of my filters. Filters that are self-priming have the motor and impeller sitting in front under the water. They also have a “minimum” water level indicated. If you like to leave a few inches clear at the top of the tank, that’s no good. Also, it makes it a pain to clean the impeller. I do recommend this filter and the price is right.

I purchased the small filter for 10-20 gallon tank for my 15 gallon tank. I also run a sponge filter in addition to the hang-on-back. I am unable to locate replacement cartridges for this filter on Amazon, and none of the pet stores in my area sell this brand. I had some cartridges left of a different brand for the filter I replaced, and they fit; however, just days after I replaced the original cartridge with one of them, the light came back on indicating time to replace. The cartridge is not dirty. My aquarium water used to be very clear, but it has become cloudy, so, even though the water seems to be circulating through the filter properly, I am concerned about how well it is doing the job. I attempted to consult with the seller about how to purchase the proper replacement cartridges, and the response was simply to use the search function and if I didn’t find them, they must not be sold there. Duh. Very disappointing!!

This hob is great! My original (not this brand) started leaking after several years so I had to get a new one. Not sure if there have been advances in tech but this works just as beautifully, completely silent and I am VERY happy with how this works, looks and sounds. Highly recommend! I am considering adding more to my other tanks as secondary filters…

First week the filter overflowed out of the back so I had to place an item in the back to tilt the filter forward. The red light never shuts off no matter what and it sounds like I am next to a small creek with the water trickling. Very loud even after I added more water to the tank. The water is clear so it works just has it’s issues.

It is pretty quiet compared to my other filter, it’s almost silent. It’s been keeping my tank crystal clear. I wouldn’t use it for smaller than 10 gal. The flow knob has good control. It’s gentle enough to keep shrimp or guppies. I’ve had it for about two weeks and so far it’s been going strong It comes with just one filter cartridge And it clears my floating plant’s roots. Which are an eye sore and now they’re gone! Cleared my tank in about two days

Perfect low effort filter for smaller aquariums that fists standard S-Size filters. The flow is STRONG - maybe too strong for betta but my cherry barbs and corys seem to love it. I really like the red light indicator telling you when to change the filter

Recibí el filtro el 11 de enero 2025, al día de hoy ya no funciona, resulta que se fue la luz por unos minutos y ahora ya no prende. Deje enfriar el motor varias horas y nada. Estaba muy contento porque funcionaba muy bien y mantenía cristalino mi pecera. Pero por un apagón no puedo creer que dejara de funcionar.
