Works as a water flavor with a caffeine kick as well. Good for camping. No need to pack both water and bottles of soda, never sure how many of each you need. Tastes like flat soda. If your hiking and carrying a bottle of soda to sip your drinking flat soda anyway, so you can have the dew taste anywhere. At home use machine, out anywhere use as water flavor. Bonus.

This has a nice flavor and is an excellent alternative to soda. Of all of the flavors, this is my favorite. I keep it in at all times for a refreshing drink without the chemicals or calories of real soda.

Hello, my name is Mike, and I'm a Diet Mountain Dew addict. For the longest time I've had to schlep DMD cans from the grocery store multiple times a week. We live downtown, and typically walk to our grocery store -- carrying 12 packs of Dew is not easy. So I am so pleased that SodaStream finally came out with DMD. I'm not sure what took so long, since Pepsi owns SodaStream, and Dew is a Pepsi family flavor. Flavor is spot on. You are never going to make carbonated water with SodaStream that's 100% like what you get in a can, so the end product is not going to be 100% perfect. But I'd say it's >95% perfect. As a value for the money, It's a bit of a wash. I calculated out that including the SodaStream gas and the DMD drink mix, it works out to something like $4.50 for a 12 pack worth of DMD. That's better than the $6-7 regular price for a 12 pack of cans at the grocery store at the regular price, but higher than the 3 for $12 deals that are available at least once a month. But the convenience is so worth it. One last negative comment ... the most recent time I got this off Amazon (I have a monthly subscribe-and-save -- I did say I was addicted to DMD), the label on the box said Diet Mountain Dew, but inside was Diet Ginger Ale! I had to do a chat with an Amazon agent to get a refund, and now have a flavor I don't know what to do with. Not an Amazon issue at all -- some strange manufacturing issue at SodaStream. I've let them know.

This sodastream Diet Mountain Dew is always perfect for me, in taste and it is zero sugar in it. This time around the price is worth the money and no bottles leaked. However, the packaging and shipping needs work. The inner box, shipping carton it comes in, the top was perforated again and sealed down with a strip of store-bought shipping tape. It was packed in a larger box with a swath, or a bit of crumpled brown filler paper that didn't provide much protection against the inner carton from sliding around inside. Fortunately, none of the bottles were damaged and they didn't feel like they had been baking in the back seat of a car in 100 degree heat for a day. That last description also refers to a previous case of Sodastream Diet Dr. Pete that came damaged and two bottles leaked and the bottles were very warm. Amazon did refund me for that order. Other than that, the Diet Dew was perfect. No bottles leaked or was over heated. So 1 star off out of five for this order.
