I am beyond impressed with this 2.5 Gallon Fish Tank Starter Kit! The design is sleek, modern, and perfect for small spaces like a desk, bedroom, or office. I wanted a nice desktop aquarium. While I know it’s not the most ideal size for a betta, he seems to be happy with it. I’ll probably upgrade to a bigger tank at some point once I am able. I added live plants, a heater and betta hammock. Setup was a little tricky and I should have paid attention to the back where the filter is as I had overflow of water, but that was a user error on my end. Once I figured it out the tank ran beautifully. So far it’s whisper quiet. I did have to find a way to get the water flow from the pump to be slower. Even on the lowest flow setting it was too strong for my betta. But I managed to find a solution and it’s the perfect slow flow for him. Overall pleased with this aquarium.

The rating is really based on great customer Service. I do like the tank and the size upgrade is good for my betta Fin Diesel. It’s too soon to tell but so far the filtration system is superior to my old under gravel bubble system tank. And much quieter too. The initial tank I purchased had a minor defect and a part missing. I emailed the address included on the product and got a fairly immediate response saying they were sad to hear I hadn’t gotten a perfect package and would get back to me to let me know what to do. Within the hour they had talked to a manager and said they would replace it right away. I have now switched out the tank and have a very happy fish. All fixed within just a couple days. I can’t say enough how refreshing it was to have a seller communicate so well and even check back on if I was happy with the new tank a week later.

I’ve had my betta in this tank for 3 months and it’s leaking water everywhere on my stand. Way too expensive for only lasting 3 months.

Excellent. This is a beautiful setup, all the mechanisms are in back and unseen. All you see is the beautiful view you create. The water pressure was a little high so I contacted seller and they sent me a pro nozzle to slow it down. What Great Customer service. They really stand behind their product. This is the perfect size for my betta. There is no noise whatsoever and it is so easy to clean five stars would definitely recommend.

Update: seller sent a replacement for pump and light. Let’s see how long it lasts Motor and light stopped working after 2 months. I don’t know what to do about this. Probably throw it away. But I have to transfer my fish out

I like the look of this tank, the one piece design, the rounded corners and all of the accessories hidden behind the back plate. The mini aquarium heater that I purchased separately fits nicely behind the plate and keeps my beta water at 80°. I do have two complaints, however. Firstly, the submersible water pump that was included with the tank is far too powerful for the 2 1/2 gallon water capacity. The pump worked at 90 gallons per minute and upset my beta since there was no calmer water even to the far end of the tank. It also pushed her up against the filtration grate. I had to unplug the water pump periodically so she could come out from hiding and eat. I bought a new submersible water pump that is much slower and it is working nicely. Secondly, I do not see a two layer filtration in the included batting as described in the product detail.

Super great and sleek little fish tank. The pump is indeed too fast. The instruction booklet doesn’t say this, but there is a toggle on the pump to slow it down. Also, hot tip: fill it half way and then run the pump while you fill it the rest of the way, or else you’ll end up spilling water out of the back end. I bought the tank without the heater and got my own little water heater for much cheaper (3.9 inches or less in length). I’m happy with it! Betta is happy too!
