Super cool looper with advanced features, missing perfection by an inch
This is my second looper, an upgrade from the lekato one with 3 memory banks and auto sync. I'm not the most advanced player and I don't play live, I use them for scales practice and messing around with layering parts. This looper goes for a little more than twice the price of the lekato, and I'd actually say that's pretty fair value for the money. It shares common features with other loopers at around this price point (stereo/mixed/seperate out, tap tempo, autosync, count-in etc), missing some (no midi, no ext. pedal input) but adding some unique others (adjustable threshold auto sync, automatic quantizing, the auto drum matching). It took me a little while to learn the controls, but ultimately they seem pretty intuitive. The touch screen is fairly useful, though I thought it was a little gimmicky at first. It can display quite a bit of information but can be a little hard to see/press quickly. The buttons are useful and well placed. As a "standard" looper, this device is solid, but all in all I think this requires some firmware tweaking to really realize the full value of it's more advanced features and iron out some annoying things. Firstly, the drum match is pretty hit or miss. Sometimes it does a good job of identifying the tempo and applying a drum loop, but most times it requires some adjustment. The adjustments range from "it's in the ballpark" to "this ballpark is enormous", so I've found a lot of times its better just to do it yourself. Thankfully the drums are adjusted separately from the loop, so making those adjustments is pretty easy. Secondly, if you mess up your first loop you need to delete the whole memory bank to get rid of it and this means having to enter your bpm again as it defaults to the bpm in the main drum menu. And third...perhaps the most annoying...when you dub a layer, you can undo it by long pressing the play switch. But if you want to undo the next layer down in the loop, you can't...long pressing again performs a "redo" of the dub you just "undid". This means that you need to be sure that you like/want all previous layers before dubbing another one, because if something doesn't work, you can't just change it once you record another dub on top, you have to delete the whole loop and start over. The good thing is that all these issues can be solved if Mooer issues some good updates, maybe repurposes one of the buttons/switches in certain contexts, or utilizes the functionality that the touch screen offers a little better, but of course that doesn't mean they will. The only other issue I can see arising is that the enclosure is all plastic. It doesn't feel cheap, and for my purposes I don't see it ever failing in terms of durability (so long as the switches stay solid) but I can see that being a bit of a deal breaker if you beat the brakes off your gear in a live context or whatever. As a creative/practice tool it offers plenty of drum loops to fit whatever you want to play, and most are actually pretty usable. The sound quality is good. 100 memory banks is great. The automatic quantizing does a great job at erasing some mistimed stops, and in combo with the autosync really seems to smooth over the most annoying thing about loopers in general: stopping and starting in time. It's small compared to a lot of the other double switch loopers on the market, and isn't super power hungry either. If you can deal with the issues (or if updates improve them), I think this thing is a great device and I've had a lot of fun with it so far. I'm rating it 5 stars only because I hope that the annoying issues that exist within it's programming will be fixed soon. The drum match is pretty ambitious, so I expect some kinks there, but the inability to undo multiple layers of a loop is silly. If I could do 4.5 I would because I think its that close to being perfect for me, regardless of it's annoyances. But yeah, solid little pedal.

Feature Rich and great sounding drum grooves!
I wish I could’ve given this five stars because it records great and has an amazing feature set. If you study the manual online in depth, it has many more features that would be apparent. It’s actually possible to scroll up and down so if you have stored many loops, you can access them relatively easily with the 2 foot switches. Also, being able to assign a separate output for the rhythm. Sounds solves many problems. The issue is, noise. I am using this with a battery operated power supply that runs a few other petals on a very small, hit and run pedal board. It worked perfectly using my Digitech jam man solo HD as well as the older version. No issues with noise or chatter, but not with the Mooer. It produces a fairly loud pulsing noise while in standby. Because of this, I don’t think I’m gonna use it although it’s too late to return it. I must say the drum sounds are far and above most other products and are extremely well recorded. They sound real and are not overdone. There is enough color to them where they are not boring, but they are not so busy as to get in the way and become fatiguing to listen to. The loops also have excellent sound quality. The fact that it’s made out of plastic is a little offputting, but I think that’s what’s keeping the price down to such a reasonable price point. It’s close to being perfect but not 100%.

Awesome! Buy it! Best drum machine with the most grooves, uninterrupted recordings.
BUY IT. I definitely recommend this product. I never leave feedback on purchases but I feel that it is my duty as a guitar player because this thing rocks so hard. I spent a lot of time researching loopers with drum machines, with a strong focus on the quality of the drum machine. Some reasons to buy this pedal are because it... - has almost twice as many drum beats as all other combo looper/drum machine pedals (220 total), with 20 grooves per genre - Heavy Metal and Punk genres are my favorites :) - doesn't restrict the length of your recording per track (300 minutes total). - has this cool "progress bar/ring" feature that works its way around the display as you progress through the loop so you know when it will restart. - The record/replay/overdub process is ergonomic. - The "Standby record" works great (you press record and it waits for you to start playing to actually record) - It's quantize function works great, meaning that it will trim your loop so they match the exact amount of beats to allow the loop to mesh with itself or the following file. - While replaying a file, you can use the foot switches to select the next recording you want to play, and it will automatically play the file once the loop you are currently using ends. I love this feature! I don't know if all loopers work like this or not, but this is great because it allows you to save different files for every segment of a song and then play the song from beginning to end without any disruption between segments. - it comes with a power supply. Some of the drawbacks are: - There are not many 3/4 or 6/8 grooves. Like literally 1 of each per genre. Basically everything is 4/4. - The "Auto-Drum beat" is kinda lame. The beats it picks are hit-or-miss, although a firmware update may improve this feature. - The housing is plastic, although it does still feel pretty tough. - If you are recording with a drum beat and screw up the take, you have the reset the BPM of the drum beat before you can record another take. This is a pain because you have to bend over and push a couple buttons with you fingers. However, if you are ok with just winging it and you are not trying to be super-precise with the BPM then you can use the foot-switches to setup a 'tap tempo' to reset the tempo to avoid this problem. There you have. I recommend it.

Great looper pedal!
This is an awesome looper and has quickly become one of my favorite pedals. The drum sounds are surprisingly good and make practicing and jamming a lot more fun. It’s very easy to use, even without digging deep into the manual. I love having so many open slots to record different loops, and the fact that they save automatically is a huge plus. Being able to plug my guitar into one input and my bass into another, then send them to separate amps, is incredibly convenient. Overall, this looper offers excellent value for the money and I would highly recommend it.

I wanted to give this five stars, but one week in...
This pedal has the highest quality software of any looper I know of on the market. The specs of this device are top notch! The screen is beautiful, although I wish it were recessed to avoid easy scratches that I'm sure would come with prolonged use. Unfortunately, despite having the best feature list on the market, I have to return mine for the following two reasons: 1) It has a high noise floor, in that even with no input it is still outputting a fair bit of white noise even using the supplied power adapter. 2) The "Record" switch has started intermittently not working just one week into use. This is the BIG reason I sadly need to return it. I was willing to live with the white noise since it is only at high volume and this looper was mainly bought to use for practice. The device itself seems really well thought out and built, especially given the plastic chassis which I must say does feel strong enough to be okay. I do feel that I could have gotten unlucky with one that has more noise than normal and a faulty switch but I can only review the one I received. NOTE ON A LOT OF THE OTHER REVIEWS: many of the reviews mention there are a lot of settings and features that aren't in the manual. I don't understand why it wasn't included with the boxes as a printed manual, but the Mooer website does have a much larger and extensive manual for the pedal that is critical in my opinion. I am fairly certain this pedal would have been received better with that in the box.

Good for practice, forget it for live if you just want a normal looper.
Looks to be a good deal for people who use it for practice, but to clunky to use live. As one other reviewer stated "Difficult to use if you’re used to a normal looper pedal, can’t make a clean loop with no gaps unless you use the built in drums and if you don’t there is a count in when you first hit the record switch that can’t be turned off so you can’t record as soon as you hit the switch" I hate you can't turn off the click in and the length of the loop is determined by the BPM, so impossible to get good loop points unless you play to the BPM. I don't want to have to adjust the BPM for every song. The drums are good sounding but too busy, not enough straight beats. That all said this would be good for practice but not live.

A Unique and User-Friendly Looper Drum Machine Pedal
I purchased this pedal myself (not a free product) and, having owned four loopers/looper+drum machines, this one truly stands out. The touchscreen interface and ease of use make it far more intuitive, encouraging me to use it more often than my previous pedals. The drum sounds are impressive, with quality rhythms and patterns that add a professional touch. One drawback is the housing—it’s made of high-strength plastic-like material, not metal as I expected. It looks sleek and feels sturdy, but only time will tell its durability. Overall, an innovative and user-friendly looper with great sound quality that inspires creativity.

Pro's and Con's on the Mooer GL100.
I have two of these, one on my main pedalboard that I use for solo and trio gigs, and one on a smaller open-mic-night pedalboard. PROS: - The way to start the drum machine (3 taps on the right footswitch sets the tempo and starts the drum pattern) is brilliant. This is the only looper that works this way...there should be many more. The only improvement I can think of here is a setting to allow 5 taps to set tempo and start...5 feels little more natural than 3 to most people. - The smaller size of the pedal is ideal. There's a lot packed into the small light stompbox. - Drum and loop synchronization is exactly what is needed...helps folks get an accurately-timed loop in a live setting. - The mix mode setting is excellent. You can run two instruments in, and get two complete signals out. For instance, you could plug in a guitar and a bass or keys, and loop parts from different instruments or inputs...then, you could run the output to a monitor and run an output to the PA. Nicely done. CONS: - Guys...the drum rhythms are WAY WAY WAY too fancy...for looping, we need simple...straight 8 boom-chick-boom-chick beat, straight 16th beat, straight quarter note beat, straight shuffle beat, straight 6/8 beat...no fills, no crashes, no fancy accents or synchronization, just give us a set (a "genre") of straight non-fancy beats with no fluff. Or allow us to edit or load our own beats on the pedal, even better. Sometimes the drum beats completely detract from the song with all the fancy fills and accents that no one wants. THIS is the only reason you did not get a 5/5. - You can undo and redo an overdub, but you cannot undo the initial loop. Figure out a way to undo the initial loop while leaving the drum pattern running...it's ridiculous to have to stop the drums, clear it, then start over on that first loop.
