FLUVAL Nano Plant LED Aquarium Lighting 15 W

I'm updating this review because this evening I was able to download a firmware update for this device. I'm so delighted with it that I immediately came to Amazon to edit my former three-star review and upgrade it to five stars. I chose this particular light because of the Bluetooth feature- I have several aquariums and did not want to cope with each one having its own individual remote and timer. I own three of these lights, only one of which was bought from Amazon, as well as a larger Fluval Aquasky, and I love being able to control them all from the same app. The Bluetooth app for Android pairs well enough with occasional refusal to connect, which for me is always fixed by rebooting the phone or closing the app completely and clearing it from the phone memory before restarting. I am delighted that the recent firmware update has added multiple photoperiods (which come recommended by many professional aquascapers) as well as separate "night" and "sleep" settings, meaning you can have a moonlight setting that turns into full darkness during the wee hours of the night (or whenever you choose to set them). There are only two drawbacks to the Nano light- it lacks the "effects" features that the larger Aquasky lights have. I can see no reason that the Nano can't do a thunderstorm or cloudy day effect like the larger lights by Fluval do using the exact same app. Also, the "sunrise" and "sunset" are quite abrupt in the end even though I have them set to last four hours each- it goes from darkness to quite bright in an instant at the beginning of sunrise and the opposite at the end of sunset. However, I must say that this is the best Nano light I have found at this price point. My plants are healthy and I can easily give it five stars now that they've updated it to allow for multiple photoperiods.

I got 2 of them, for that price I could have got the fluval plant 3.0 but I went for these as they can be controlled independently, creating some great lighting effects. very bright and easy Bluetooth connectivity.

I'm sure it was 70 odd quid when I got it.. even then I thought its a bit steep, but its done a fantastic job and what with the functions with the app too, its a great light

Great value, I already have the Aquasky on another tank so the app is handy. Screw that holds the bracket on faces inwards! Not the best design. The light looks very modern and compact. Bought as a replacement light and more than happy with it.

Ich verwende die Fluval Plant 3.0 mittlerweile auf fast allen meine Nano-Aquarien (30 und 60 Liter) und bin voll zufrieden damit. Mir gefällt das Lichtspektrum und die Einstellung der Lampe ist super einfach. Die Nano Plant 3.0 hat 7500 Lumen - während die Plant 3.0 "nur" 6500 Lumen hat (just 4 info) den Unterschied sieht man! Neben 3 Voreinstellungen (die etwas "kompliziert" zu finden sind - hier musste ich erst Fluval anschreiben ... das ist im App echt doof ...) ist die Lampe sehr sehr einfach einzustellen. Die 3 Presets braucht man eigentlich nicht. Sind eher eine Möglichkeit noch viel einfacher ein Lichtspektrum einzustellen. ABER: Im Vergleich zu einer gleichpreisigen Chihiros RGB Lampe sind die Einstellmöglichkeiten eher gering. Man kann das Licht lediglich etwas "wärmer" oder "kälter" stellen in dem man die verschiedenen färbigen LEDs heller oder dunkler, dazu oder wegschaltet. Chihiros hat RGB LEDs und damit geht wirklich alles. Auch ist die Lampe mit 1000 Lumen meiner Meinung nach perfekt für 30 Liter bis max 60 Liter (Naturaquarien) geeignet. Wenn man z.b. einen 60 Liter Cube (Dennerle) mit Bodendeckern bepflanzen mag sind die 1000 Lumen schon etwas zu schwach - 1500 Lumen wären empfohlen (Chihiros hat das) Wenn einem aber das Lichtspektrum gefällt (und für mich ist es ein sehr naturähnliches Spektrum, ich habe 90% Naturquarien), dann ist es eine perfekte und schöne Lampe. Für Aquascaping würde ich sie NICHT empfehlen - da ist man bei Chihiros (oder anderen Herstellern) viele besser bedient weil man unterschiedliche Farbtöne im Aquarium (z.B Rot- oder Grüntöne uvm.) direkt hervorheben kann.

This is one of the best Fluval products I have purchased. The light has been amazing for my fully planted 10gallon nano tank. The ability to connect to the fluvalsmart mobile app makes life easy. I have preset customized light modes throughout the day, and can control it without having to fight with cords. Having complete control over the amount of light my tank has received has kept the algae blooms down, and allowed my plants to flourish.

geweldig product !! en zeker 100 procent zijn geld waard voor de aquaria hobby . nu meeste mensen zeggen max 30 liter aquariums . bij mij staat deze op een 60+ liter [40x40x50] en ik moest de verlichting op 60 procent maar zetten want anders was alles gewoon te fel van verlichting . ook kan men alle kleuren van het spectrum manueel aanpassen , zowel zons ondergang als opgang als nacht verlichting , makkelijk en duidelijk te bedienen via de fluval app , en in de app kan je de inviduele verlichting per 1 % zelfs het al instellen wat deze verlichting echt uniek maakt , bovendien heeft deze ook nog eens 3 vooraf geprogrammeerde functies door de fabrikant zelf als je het niet zelf wil doen , zowel ook als een professionele modus waar je echt alles kan in regelen.

Bellissima luce, vale assolutamente il prezzo sicuramente un po alto, l’abbiamo messa sul ns nano acquario da 30lt e dopo 2/3 settimane abbiamo visto che le piante hanno incominciato a diventare molto più belle e prosperose Ottima l app, molto semplice da configurare, forse leggermente migliorabile la gestione colori in alba e tramonto potevano farla da gestire colore per colore giusto per un risultato piu “scenico”

Funciona muito bem , Já não me preocupo em ligar ou desligar a luz e ainda por cima , este simula-me o levantar e o pôr do sol, para alêm de simular a noite/lua
