NZXT Control Hub - Digital RGB & PWM Fan Controller - Black

This little box is just brilliant. I thought it was a bit pricey when I ordered it, as I didn't realise I needed it for the fans I bought off here the day before (duh). Amazing t6hing though - easy to install, would fun a load of fans (make sure you buy the wires though). Brilliant lighting effects - worth every penny

Great for cable management, but the lighting is glitchy I bought this hub to centralize my NZXT fans and strips, and while it does a great job of tidying up the back of the case, the performance is disappointing. The lighting is very intermittent—some days it works perfectly, and other days certain fans just won't light up or they flicker randomly. I’ve checked all the internal USB and SATA connections, but it seems to be a software/hardware communication issue. It’s okay for fan speed control, but the RGB side of things is far too hit and miss for the price.

I've given this particular control hub 2 stars, because for whatever reason the only way to power the controller is an 8 (6+2) PCIE power lead instead of sata power - and they expect you to have a spare one of these from your power supply. I have an ASUS TUF 850w gold fully modular so it's a pretty high quality PSU and they only give you three of these cables... and modern GPUs require three of these cables. You can't mix and match PSU cables from different manufacturers, and you can't readily obtain an extra for your exact PSU either which made this controller a nightmare. I had to wait for a SATA > 8 pin converter cable so that I could power this stupid thing - and luckily I didn't try to power it with an 8 pin CPU cable, which did happen to be spare from my PSU - this would blow it up. If you're going to buy this, make sure you have a spare 8 pin (6+2) PCIE cable ready to plug it into your PSU, or a converter cable to power it from sata.

I’m satisfied with the product overall. It works well, but the magnetic mounting can be a little frustrating because the hub sometimes moves when you don’t want it to. Apart from that, it’s a good product and does its job well.

cumple con lo que ofrece, es muy facil controlar el RGB y velocidad de ventiladores con este controlador. Oviamente tienes que usar ventiladores NZXT que vienen 3 o 2 en 1, que ya tienen el conector compatible con el controlador, si no vas a necesitar más adaptadores, este solo incluye un adaptador para 3 ventiladores que no sean NZXT.

This controller hub works great. Install was easy. Plug and play. Can easily controller all the fans and rgb lighting easily with NZXT Cam Software.
