Novodon Merino Wool Pressing Mat for Quilting 17" x 13.5" 100% Merino Wool Pressing Mat for Quilting and Ironing

Exactly as described and perfect on my Big Board that's at least 15 years old! I worried that it might be too thick for under the board's cotton covers, but it fit as described and the cover fit on top just great. I don't know why I didn't find and buy this sooner, I just didn't look or know such a thing is available. I saw one offered on a sewing notions site, looked into it further and found this one substantially less expensive. It is a great cushion so seams don't imprint and the steam iron penetrates making ironing easier and more efficient. (A Big Board is the large size mat, 22 X 58" I believe.)

The mat is huge! I have a bigger than average size ironing board and it covers the entire board and then some, it's nice and thick too

Love it, but my cats did too! Product did have a "smell" to it when it arrived. Figured it was in the plastic for a while...let if air out for a day--it was fine. Size is perfect for travel or just placing on top of a table for a quick iron of quilt/craft projects. Would purchase again or even give as a gift. NOTE: my cats loved it too and wanted to use it for a scratch pad, understandingly so, I now put if away where they can't get to it when I'm finished with it.

This mat is perfect. I cut it down for my rectangle ironing board cover (that my husband made). It laid down pretty flat after unrolling it. It flattened out the rest of the way after sitting for a couple days with a couple books on the end. It's the same thickness as my other small pressing mats. It looks nice and appears to be the same high quality as the small ones I have.

Havent used the mat yet, but it is as described! Large size covers my ironing board, will trim to fit and will have extra smaller mats after trimming. Mat arrived in 2 days, packaged nicely.

Love this wool pressing mat. It fits a folding table and it's very thick durable . Helps with large pieces to iron on. Great investment.

I love these ironing mats! This is my second one and they are so nice and useful. You don’t have to get your ironing board out as it’s great for quilt and small projects

I was looking forward to this Wool Pressing Mat as I had heard so much about it. When it arrived today it was not packaged as in the preview of the product, it was packaged just in celophane bag inside another bag. I unpacked it and on one side was light brown debrie, not much, but that should not be there, for me to pick out. The Mat has a chemical smell to it when I pressed a fabric square. It does the job, but the smell is bad.

Top notch pressing mat, and no wooly odour. However - and this was my mistake - a water barrier is imperative. I used the mat on my cutting board, used a steam iron, and left the mat on the table overnight. Of course, the water from the mat damaged my cutting mat.
