No Luck Here
I returned mine because it did not sit level and tight on my KitchenAid. None of my other kitchenaid attachments are like this. The torque of the unit seemed to make it lean and as a result, the pasta cutter kept swinging into the extruded pasta. Also, upon reassembly, it was almost impossible to get the plastic auger to seat properly in the gear. Nope - it had to go back.

Too bad I can’t return it.
Yeah not gonna work for us. The 6 servings of pasta took over 45 minutes to go through the pasta extractor with my KA stand mixer on the highest setting. It’s incredibly heavy and so I had to use pliers to tighten the nut for the attachments. The cutter is also positioned terribly due to the mixer continuously rotating. I would return this in a heart beat but unfortunately it was a gift and waited too long and there has been no options.

Pasta extruder safety issue
This damaged my mixer, do not buy! The pasta extruder works well enough when it’s operating properly. The issue is that the pin holding the machine in place is too short, so if you bump the extruder even a little bit, it will disconnect and start spinning around wildly with a sharp pasta cutter wire. I had to unplug the entire unit from the wall to avoid cutting myself. It even chipped the little port on my mixer where the pin goes. The wire cutter also doesn’t rest away from the extruder which means you have to hold it while operating it. In addition the wire isn’t sharp enough to avoid crimping the end of the pasta. Needless to say I will be returning this.

Hard to assemble
I have found using this item very frustrating. First attempt it would not stay attached to my Kitchen Aid mixer. I had my husband look at it and he drilled a new divot for the screw attachment which has solved that issue but in trying to use it for the second time I am finding that is is very difficult to get the auger to set into the proper position. It wants to sit on top on the little X it is supposed to drop down into an no matter how I try to turn it, it just does not want to seat properly Still trying after 20 minutes It would me so much easier if there were a shaft instead of that X. Otherwise it seems to press out the pasta fine
