I recently built and painted the Lord with Jump Pack from the Chaos Space Marines line, and it’s been a fantastic model to work on. As a standalone character for my army, it brings both style and presence—boldly sculpted, dynamic pose, and plenty of detail that looks impressive on the battlefield and on the painting table. The kit is expertly designed. The jump pack is sculpted with chaotic flair—spikes, vents, and layered armour plates give it that sinister, war-torn feel. The pose conveys motion and aggression, making the character seem airborne and ready to strike. Assembly was relatively smooth, with only minor cleanup needed around some joints and weapons, which is par for the course with high-detail models. Painting it has been especially enjoyable. The armour offers lots of recessed detail and raised panels that take highlights well. I chose a dark, brooding colour scheme with metallic trim and daemon accents, and the sculpt really supports that style—there are many surfaces that respond nicely to edge-highlighting, weathering, and glow effects from power weapons or dark bolts. On the tabletop, the Lord with Jump Pack is both visually and tactically impressive. Whether leading a squad or performing solo assaults behind enemy lines, the mobility and aggression the model implies feel matched by the rules. It’s a strong focal point for a Chaos Space Marine army and adds real character. In terms of value, I feel this kit is well worth the price. The parts are high quality, the pose is striking, and it integrates seamlessly into a broader army or stands out as a centrepiece. Overall, if you’re a collector, painter or player of Chaos Space Marines, the Lord with Jump Pack is an excellent addition. It delivers dramatic visuals, satisfying build and paint experience, and great performance on the battlefield. Very highly recommended.
