There is no better core removal tool. It’s simply perfect in every way. The ability to isolate the micron gauge without additional parts or losing vacuum at all is so great. Can’t say enough. I have 2 of them.

Have had 2 of them since December of last year. They’re way too bulky, the connections allow enough play that the catcher rod does not guide straight into the core you’re trying to pull and the rod digs into the o-ring. Because of that the tip of the rod gets clogged up with o-ring pieces because it doesn’t go in straight and then you can’t grab the core! Super disappointing for the cost and I love fieldpiece tools. Also noticed that the catcher rod likes to get stuck and doesn’t glide smoothly with the threaded part after sitting for a day or 2. Will be going back to Appion core tools no doubt.

Has the quality you’d expect being from fieldpiece. This actually grabs and holds onto the Schrader valve when removing from a pressurized system, and the sight glass makes it so easy to confirm you’re pulling the valve. It’s heavy duty and can take a beating. I tried six other valve removal tools before this one and it’s way better by far compared to any of the cheaper models out there. If you do a lot of hvac work, buy this, and save yourself the otherwise annoying task of removing the Schrader valve

Works great, but is a little big

Tried removing the valve core and did not works feels like it’s out but do not come out and stay stuck to the system. Do not recommend for the price

La crema y nata para el gremio hvac me encanta usarlo para hacer vacío en mis instalaciones de aire acondicionado conecto mi vacuometro y la manguera hacia la bomba de vacío directo sin manómetros. Lo único que me hubiera gustado es que incluyera el adaptador para 5/16 ya que solo viene con conexión a 1/4 y aparte es difícil conseguirlo por separado desde mazatlán Sinaloa México

Excellent tool.

It doesn't fit on all 1/4 service valves. I work with chillers and the ones like Carrier 30HX have the cores deeper than the core remover could actually go because there is an increase in the remover diameter and it doesn't fit into the hole. On the other hand it worked well on residential units like small ( 3-6 tons) splits and minisplits. Hope it helps to those who want to invest into quality tools.
