Will this meet American Airlines under seat requirements?

If you pack light, it would fit. But mine is full for a weekend trip: couple of outfits, toiletries, book, chargers; and I have to put it in the overhead bin. Fully packed it doesn’t fit under the seat.

Hello! Are the two pockets on either side of the trolley sleeve supposed to be open on the bottom, or was mine a defect?

The open sleeve on the back, is there so you can place the sleeve over the upright handle on your suitcase, for easier carrying.
