This is best for bigger veg, cabbage, potatoes etc. But does a really good job with even the smallest. Easy to use, easy to clean. The only minor downside is a lack of julienne or shredding blades. It could be that these extra blades are not practical with such a wide mandoline.

It is very expensive but the quality is fantastic I am happy. Using for beef tomatoes.

Reasonably happy with this mandolin although I do find it slips on the kitchen surface a little.

Great mandolin. Slice holder prone to shaving prongs but small beer.

We bought this mandolin on the recommendation of an professional chef because a recipe he was promoting required thinly sliced shallots, all of the exact same thickness. This mandolin is what he used. It is very well made with a firm handle and non-slip footing. You probably can't find a better quality mandolin. Because these things are inherently dangerous, the food must be gripped with a pronged plastic thingy that resembles a scalp massager. You can't hold the vegetables with your bare hand. It worked really well when gripping half a cabbage but not so well when slicing shallots and carrots. The shallots were all precisely sliced and the recipe was a success but a quarter of the shallot and carrots were wasted because the gripper does not hold small vegetable pieces. We typically lost 1/2 inch of the vegetable. Normally, in our home kitchen we do not slice large vegetables so this mandolin goes unused. We concluded that we should work on our knife skills instead because with the knife there is essentially no wastage.

...wie eine Mandoline sein soll. So einige Geräte und Küchenhelfer sind bei uns im Einsatz und es gibt genug Erfahrungen mit V-Hobel und anderen Mandolinen nahmhafter Herstellter. Der große Benriner Hobel ist seit ein paar Wochen nun in der Küche im Einsatz. Fazit: superscharfe Klinge, vernünftige stabile Justage der Schnittbreite...von 0 bis ca. 10 mm, Anti-Rutschfüße, Einkerbungen zur sicheren Auflage auf einer Schüssel, sehr guter Reste-Halter.....Krauthobeln macht jetzt richtig Freude, und große Zuccini-Längs-Scheiben sind kein Problem mehr.... wenn ich so weiter schreibe, klingt das wie ein bezahlter Jubel - Brief....ists aber nicht! Abseits vom Jubel noch zwei Anmerkungen: 1. die Klinge ist so fantastisch scharf wie der Preis hoch ist....88 E sind schon eine stolze Summe für den Hobel, der eigentlich nur hobeln kann! 2. die Freude am Hobel dauert nur so lang, wie die Klinge scharf ist. Allerdings ist die Klinge leicht ausbaubar und sollte - genau wie jap. Damast-Messer - über Schärfsteinen (nass) abgezogen werden. Das ist zwar etwas aufwendig, aber das Ergebnis ist ein superschafter Hobel der einfach nur Freude macht in der Küche. Ich vergebe volle Punktzahl!

Cela n'a pas loupé,aussitôt reçue,aussitôt coupée (je me suis faite très ,très peur). J'ai décidé d'acheter des gants anti coupure,et je vous le conseille également. Après avoir fait des chips de pomme de terre,je me suis attaquée aux oignons. L'un des oignons a glissé du support à picots,et cela a été l'accident! C'était le fait d'un excès de confiance,il faut impérativement rester très concentrée. Au delà de cet aspect,la mandoline est formidable.Elle ne fait que des découpes droites de tranches,selon diverses épaisseurs (pas de cubes,ni de juliennes),mais on peut les obtenir d'une extrême finesse !

Mandolina estremamente funzionale. lama in acciaio inox affilata, regolazione spessore taglio con manopola continua, base antiscivolo, carrello per la protezione delle dita, tutto questo ne fa un alleata preziosa in cucina.

Super buena y fácil de operar, muy precisa, recomiendo usar guantes resistentes a cortes para poder operarla con seguridad porque la navaja es super filosa.

ejemplo: la berenjena se queda con la piel "pellizcada" pero gracias a su ancho por lo menos se puede intentar. Me hubiera gustado que incluyera las navajas de los modelos más pequeños para hacer juliana etc.... Pero hubo que elegir: ancho o gadgets.
