Wow 🤩 Loved the cameras already but the new XR sync module is amazing!!
These cameras are incredible! We have had 3 Blink Outdoor 4 cameras for over a year now and they reach about 200 feet from our house with the regular sync module. I decided to purchase two more with the XR Sync Module to see if they would work at the distances advertised. I have to say I’m blown away by their performance on XR+. They are well worth it for us even with XR+ having a saver option as the only selectable video quality and no use of the microphones. I installed one at our gate which is 532’ from our house where the sync module is plugged in and one at our barn which is 295’ away through a lot of trees. They were super easy to install. There is a XR option that allows standard HD video quality but ours had to be on the XR+ option to connect at the distance I placed them but they still show 2 bars of connectivity to the sync module so I could probably go even further with them if I needed to. Both cameras pick up motion well both day and night and the video quality is pretty good for being in saver mode. I still can’t believe they work so far away and it’s nice to have extra security on our acreage. Now I know when I have packages or mail delivered or if something is in our barn that shouldn’t be such as coyotes or bobcats. I’m always checking them and the batteries are still going strong. I wanted to purchase 2 more cameras with the XR module but there was a limit of one purchase because of the Prime Day deal. I will definitely be purchasing them again next year because there are other spots I’d like to put cameras up that are further away than the regular sync module can handle. I’ll attach pictures to show how far they are from our house and some of the night and day image quality. I used the measure tool on Google Earth for measurements. I highly recommend them!

as advertised
**Blink Sync Module XR Review** If you’re already using Blink cameras, the Blink Sync Module XR is a solid addition to your setup. It’s designed to extend the range and improve connectivity for your cameras, which is great if you’ve got cameras a bit farther from your Wi-Fi router or are covering a large property. Here’s my take on its main perks and a few minor drawbacks. ### Pros 1. **Better Range**: The “XR” stands for “extended range,” and it lives up to that name. I noticed a big difference in connectivity, especially with cameras I’d placed farther out in the yard. No more spotty connections or missed motion events. 2. **Battery Boost**: One of the best things about the XR is how it helps with battery life. Cameras stay connected more efficiently, which means batteries last longer. This is a lifesaver if you’re tired of changing batteries frequently, especially on outdoor cameras. 3. **Simple Setup**: Like other Blink products, setting up the Sync Module XR is really straightforward. You just plug it in, link it through the Blink app, and you’re good to go. The app itself is easy to use for watching feeds, managing settings, and checking recordings. 4. **Local Storage Option**: Finally, Blink lets you add local storage with the XR! Just plug in a USB drive, and you can store clips directly without needing to pay for cloud storage. For privacy-conscious folks or those looking to save a few bucks, this is a huge plus. 5. **Convenient Remote Access**: The Blink app makes it easy to check in on things when you’re away. You can watch live feeds, get alerts, and adjust settings from anywhere. ### Cons 1. **Only Works with Blink Cameras**: If you’ve got a mixed brand setup, this module isn’t for you. The Sync Module XR only connects with Blink cameras, and not even every single Blink model works. So double-check your cameras to make sure they’re compatible. 2. **Limited Without a Subscription**: While the XR lets you add local storage, some features like extended cloud recording and more clip options still require a subscription. Not a dealbreaker, but something to keep in mind. 3. **Not Packed with Advanced Features**: The XR does a good job at the basics, but it’s pretty light on advanced extras. There’s no AI detection or high-end video analytics, so if you’re looking for really advanced security features, you might be left wanting more. ### Final Thoughts Overall, the Blink Sync Module XR is a solid buy if you’re already in the Blink ecosystem. It’s reliable, extends range, saves battery life, and even gives you local storage. While it’s not loaded with all the bells and whistles, it’s perfect for someone who wants a simple, effective way to improve their Blink setup.

Great and highly recommended camera system
Awesome cameras! They work great and batteries seem to last a long time if not in a high traffic areas. They are weather resistant and most of mine get rained on. They have a good field of view and are sensitive enough to catch squirrels and small critters. I love these cameras and have many of them.
