These were a perfect fitting replacement to my original overhead doors sensors. The connection points for the wire on these new sensors are screws that you can wrap the wire around and tighten down. The old sensors had push and lock pins for the wire. My home is30 years old and the sensor wires that were installed at the time of construction and are behind sheet rock and insulation have become brittle with age and the sheathing is hard and brittle so you want to be able to reconnect the wires to the new sensors with minimal manipulation of the wire. These sensors fit the bill and work perfectly. They slip on to the original mounting brackets with no problem and hold fast. This is a very easy replacement and the only tools I need was a wire cutter (old scissors are shears would work well,) flat blade screw driver, and a project knife to carefully cut and strip the wire sheathing. This IMHO opinion would rate 3 in a 1-10 difficulty scale. Cost was less than 1/2 of buying direct from the manufacturer. Hope this review helps make your buying decision easier.
