Deco 7 BE25 Dual-Band BE5000 WiFi 7 Mesh Wi-Fi System 5 Gbps, 240 Mhz

Awesome! I wish I hadn't waited so long to upgrade my 3 year old TP Link stand alone router. I live in a ranch style house of appropriately 2200 square ft. My router and main TV and entertainment equipment are on totally opposite ends of the house with 2 walls in between. My coverage was down to 3-5 mbps and lost signal, buffering and pausing were becoming the norm. I purchased this 2 piece Deco mesh unit for a very reasonable price and now my signal strength has increased to around 275 mbps. No more signal loss or buffering or stalling. I ordered a 3rd node separately but it wasn't needed so I returned it. Setup was ridiculously easy even for a network novice like myself. You won't be disappointed with this unit.

This is a great router with a really helpful, well designed app. It’s been a number of years before I’ve had to setup a router band while I don’t remember it being too difficult in the past, this router was extremely easy to setup. Step 1) Plug in the routers. Step 2) Open the app and follow the simple instructions. Our routers were setup in 2 minutes and have been nearly flawless ever since. They do have ports in the back you can plug directly into but that’s not something I use. It’s a major upgrade from our ISP provided router. The only issue that I have had is with just one device switching back and forth through the mesh system/different routers. The computers VPN didn’t like that and caused an issue. Luckily it was an easy fix in the app to keep my computer on one of the routers. All said, these work great, I’m getting Gbps speed, and the app is extremely well designed. The app allows for monitoring, adding a VPN to some or all devices, a dedicated IOT network, and honestly a lot more. I am very happy with this purchase.

I got 2 of the WiFi 7 Mesh routers and got them setup in about 10 minutes. There is a helpful app you download that walks you through the entire process. Now I don't have any wifi dead spots in my house. I was able to set up the second router in my bedroom using an ethernet cable. It recognized and synced the router to the wifi network automatically. You can control everything about the routers through the app. I would recommend these routers to friends and family. Great product!

I am very happy with this router mesh purchase for my two story condo. The setup was easy using the app and the range is excellent. Definitely a good buy at a great price. The mesh gives great coverage between the floors.

Fast speeds and easy setup, but runs hot. My main issue: the satellite unit (45 feet away in my office, mostly drywall) disconnects from the main router at least once daily. Reconnection takes 5-10 minutes and is unreliable—it cycles between green and red. Even with WiFi disabled, my wired connection doesn't switch to the main router automatically. The app fails to detect the disconnection immediately, which seems to prevent seamless failover.

Update 8/12: So stability issues are more rare now but I noticed many websites and apps are loading much much slower and it is obnoxious. Amazon and IMDB, for example, struggle to load images or customer photos. On 5G, everything loads instantly. I'm done with these decos and I'd highly recommend you stay away too. Original review: This system started out fine, but after less than a year of use, it has become incredibly unreliable. About a week ago, I began experiencing intermittent internet and network issues, and they have since become an almost daily occurrence. Sometimes the Deco units lose their internet connection and won't reconnect until they are rebooted. Other times, the Wi-Fi network itself crashes, causing all connected devices to lose access. Either way, I'm left without internet until I manually intervene. What's especially frustrating is that I replaced a six-year-old refurbished Netgear Nighthawk with this system solely to expand my wireless coverage. That router was absolutely rock solid and never once required a reboot during the entire time I owned it. I expected a modern Wi-Fi 7 mesh system to be at least as reliable, if not better. For a mesh system at this price point, having to reboot the units nearly every day to restore connectivity is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this product.

The Deco BE25 has been a fantastic upgrade from my previous Eero setup. The link between the two nodes is incredibly fast, delivering consistent performance throughout my home. Setup was a breeze—straightforward and quick, even for a non-techie. One small downside: it comes with US plugs by default, so I had to order UK plugs separately. Also, I wish it was powered via USB-C for more flexibility. Still, these are minor issues compared to the overall performance and ease of use. Highly recommended if you're looking to step up your home network.

I replaced an older router and extender setup with the TP-Link Deco 7 BE25 2-pack, and the difference was noticeable immediately. Setup through the Deco app was straightforward and took less than 20 minutes from start to finish. Coverage has been excellent. My home is just over 2,000 square feet, including a basement, and the two units easily eliminated several weak spots that I had been dealing with for years. Devices now transition between access points seamlessly, and I haven't noticed any connection drops while moving around the house. Performance has also been impressive. Streaming, online gaming, and video calls all feel more responsive, and larger downloads finish much faster than they did with my previous setup. The 2.5G ports are a welcome addition for anyone planning to use a wired backhaul or upgrade to faster internet service in the future. I appreciate the extra features, including VPN support, AI-assisted roaming, and network management through the HomeShield tools. Most settings are easy to find, even for users who don't have much networking experience. The only downside is that some advanced features require additional configuration, and a few HomeShield options are locked behind a subscription. Also, most households won't fully benefit from Wi-Fi 7 unless they already own newer devices that support it. Overall, this is an excellent mesh system that delivers strong coverage, reliable performance, and plenty of room for future upgrades.
