Winsome Rochester Console Table with Drawer 29", Antique Walnut

I can’t believe how well-made this table is for the price! It’s all wood except for the bottom inside of the drawer which seems to be made of particle board..maybe? The bottom of my dresser drawers, that I bought from Ashley Furniture, are made of the same material, and they’re very sturdy. I put a piece of a grip liner on the bottom of the drawer to keep my pens and pencils from moving around and it works perfectly. The color is perfect, and matches well with the cherry wood color bedroom set I have. It’s the perfect size when you need a desk for a small area, although the top has plenty of room for notebooks, a laptop etc. It’s super-simple to put together…just attach the legs, and knob on the front of the drawer. Comes with clear instructions and tool needed to attach the legs. You do need a Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the knob on the drawer. The desk is very sturdy, but does come with a furniture anchor if you think you need it. I have the desk on carpet, and it doesn’t wobble at all. I’m very, very happy with this desk. I think it’s perfect!

The quality of this console table is immediately noticeable. The wood has a good weight to it with solid thickness—nothing flimsy—and the walnut finish has a smooth, glossy glaze that looks clean and well done without feeling cheap or overdone. It presents nicely in a room and feels like it’ll hold up over time. Assembly is about as easy as it gets. Despite what the box suggests, a single healthy adult can carry, set up, and position it without any help. The only tool needed was a Phillips head screwdriver for the drawer knob—everything else was included and straightforward. You’re basically just attaching the legs and securing the knob, and that’s it. If you’re looking for something simple, sturdy, and good-looking without a frustrating setup process, this checks all the boxes.

I love this little table as my dressing table. I have had it for a couple of years and it is stable and has held up well to daily use. I love the simplicity of it and the finish perfectly matches a much more expensive dresser in the room. It was easy to assemble, light enough to easily move, and a great value. Yes, the drawer is tiny but for keeping small items a woman would use to get ready it is perfect. I found a very shallow pencil tray to help keep it organized. If you want to hide more unsightly items like hair products, it is the perfect height for using standard cafe curtains as a table skirt. I also like that it is wide but not very deep. There is plenty of surface area but it also gives more room to pass by it. Highly recommend!

I ordered this table to use as a computer/printer desk, and it is an excellent size for my Apple desktop and printer. It is a really nice color and real wood. Assembly consisted simply of screwing on the legs - all hardware was included and holes were drilled in excellent alignment. One problem, however. The small drawer arrived with one side broken where the groove was made to slide into the opening. Of course with self-assembled furniture the option is then to replace the entire piece, which was already put together and wait for a replacement, or to fix it oneself - off to the hardware store for some wood glue - or accept a discount on the price. I chose option 3, as I don't intend to put anything heavy in the drawer. I did check for all the parts, which were present and seemed fine. I did not check the drawer though, as way the box opened left the table upside down in the packing and ready to install the legs easily. The drawer was already in the table and did not notice it was damaged until I turned the table over. So, check ALL the parts before assembly. Otherwise this is a very pretty, solid table and looks terrific. I would definitely recommend buying it.

This occasional table is a bargain. I actually use it as a space saving office/computer desk. I spent a lot of time searching before deciding on this product. I really wanted something that looked nice but at a reasonable price. A big factor for me was whether it was made of solid wood. It was not evident to me from the description, so I held my breath until it arrived. I can emphatically state that it is indeed constructed of solid wood. Any mention of composite wood refers only to the materials used to construct the inside of the drawer, which cannot be seen unless the drawer is opened. I assembled the desk quickly, and I am very happy with the quality and appearance. The only minor detail that I've discovered is that the drawer knob has to be lifted to shut the drawer completely. Again, this is a very minor issue. I highly recommend this table.

I was looking for a small writing table to place in front of a large sliding door for a winter project. I looked at many options in the $200 - $300 range. Then I cam across this one. The price was amazing. I anticipated veneers and fake wood, but NO. This one is solid and well finshed. So easy to assemble too. The simple lines gives a sense of elegance. It's large enough for my laptop and wide enought for a notebook and some reference books alongside. And the small drawer is small, but enought for a few odds and ends and a note book or two. Do yourself a favor and stop lookng. Buy this one.

As a Home Stager, I'm always on the watch for inexpensive yet durable furniture and accessories. I took a chance on this after reading positive ratings, but was still suspicious due to the low price. When I opened the box, I was surprised to see it actually WAS solid wood. More importantly, it was mostly assembled. All I had to do was screw on the legs. It's very attractive and sturdy, and I'm thinking of purchasing another for our home. It really is THAT nice.

I have taken over a relatively small bedroom for an office, so space is at a premium. My main desk doesn't give me all the surface room I need, so I wanted to find something that fit well in front of the window, but didn't come out too far. This piece is slightly taller than I wish, but, as you can see in the pictures, does well. Now, that's not why I gave this five stars...if it didn't fit it would be my fault, not the product's. :-) The reason for the five star rating is that this is a high quality table that is incredibly easy to put together. If it isn't mostly real wood, they fake it amazingly well...and all you have to do is screw on the four legs (8 screws with washers), attach the handle for the drawer, and put in a small wooden dowel (that keeps the drawer from falling out). It comes with the Allen wrench for the legs, but you will need a Phillips screwdriver for the handle. Finally, it's just plain beautiful. I am sure my snapshots don't do it justice...it looks like I paid a lot more for it than I did. P.S. The only negative I have is that UPS failed to deliver this within Amazon Prime's 2-day guarantee and were absolutely unwilling to do anything to get it to me as soon as possible past that. It ended up being a week late. Amazon was very responsive to my concern, but I contacted them too late for them to be able to resolve before the Christmas holiday. If I had the opportunity, I would have Amazon mark my account to never use UPS again.

I put this together in 1/2 an hour BY MYSELF. Clear, easy instructions. No missing parts, scratches or marring. This table is solid and sturdy. The legs are perfectly even, so no wobbling on my hardwood floor. Neat and tidy with clean lines. My 10" laptop fits nicely. There is only one drawer and the top is not large enough for my junk to pile up on. I don't have a home office so I wanted something to look nice in the living room. This fits the bill exactly. It would also work as a good looking console table. Great value for my money. Would I buy it again? Absolutely.

Sorprendido con la calidad del producto, esta construido 100% de madera solida salvo el interior del cajon que esta hecho de otro material, se envia en una sola caja y solo fue necesario colocarle las piernas, incluye la herramienta y quedo armado en 15min, si bien es una mesa consola en mi caso quedo perfecto como un pequeño escritorio para un espacio habilitado como oficina en casa por sus dimensiones ya que la mayoría de los escritorios tienen mas de 40cm de profundidad, sin duda lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Very pleased with this product. Arrived on time, well packed, no damage. My son assembled it quickly and easily. Very simple clean lines, a rich dark brown finish, and it appears to be primarily real wood. Very high quality at this price point! A contemporary take on a classic look. A bit larger than I had anticipated, but that is my fault for not measuring. I thought from pictures online that the drawer front was flush with the table, however it is not. Not a problem, just difficult to tell in the pictures due to the dark colouring. I will purchase more from this company given the quality of this table.
