Shure by Gator Deluxe Low-Profile Desktop Mic Boom Arm (SH-BROADCAST2)

I love it, it’s sturdy and reliable. Didn’t have issues installing it. Loved the wire compartment. Value for money is great. Coming to the ease if movement, from time to time you need to tighten the joints. Especially because i use it a lot. So it becomes lose. But it’s fine.

Has an excellent, low-profile feel and I was very pleased with the ease of set up and how it fit with my desk at home, but less than a month later and knob 2 is stripped already and now the arm is unable to stand at all. I went back and read the reviews on the SHURE website. I looks like most others are overwhelmingly experiencing the same problem or similar due to poor quality parts.

3/18/25 All I can say is that I am a HUGE FAN of this boom, mic arm. It is nice and clean, moves with such ease - no GLIDES! It gives my desk the clean look I wanted to maintain versus the standard swing arms that are super clunky. I like the added attention to detail with having a nice magnetic bar that pops right off to hide the cord from the mic instead of those cumbersome plastic cap covers. I had debated on whether to purchase this item or not, seriously who spends that much for such a basic item...it was more than worth it! It is a natural fit for my SHURE mic as well. I could not be more pleased unless the stand was given to me for free! (Laughing) Go ahead and make yourself happy as well. You deserve something that is as nice as this that keeps your desk clutter free and allows you to move the mic easily into the position you desire.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I needed a stand for a mic, but one that can fit under my monitor but also have enough height to swing out over some of my other accessories when I need to use the mic. This fits that bill perfectly. I was surprised by the weight of the arm when it was delivered. The pictures on Amazon had me thinking it would be plastic, but it's made of sturdy metal. It has metal plates that you can pull off to reveal a place to run your XLR cable through with some thoughtful placement for the holes. Very clean aesthetically.

Shure builds great products. This boom stand is no exception. I love the extra lengths Shure goes through in their packaging insuring that everything arrives safely and undamaged. Do keep in mind if you order this boom that it is "low profile" so your mic mounts upward from the stand. I also love how Shure built the boom so that it conceals the mic cable. Easy to assemble and mount to your desk.

It works and you can clamp onto your desk easily and attach the shure microphone easily enough, however, it is not very strong and struggles to hold the weight of the microphone and you have to seriously tighten the knobs on the arm to make sure it’s as tight as possible so that the arms don’t collapse. The low profile is nice and I like how there is an option for some cable management within the arm itself

Even though this is literally a Shure branded product that claims it can support an SM7B - it absolutely can not. I haven't even had this item a full month and I'm already sick of it sagging (during the best of times) or just outright death dropping (the worse case scenario that was more common). The wing nuts you tighten on these things just are not quality enough to hold it up. Do not buy this for your SM7B - go buy a gas spring boom arm instead; I'll be swapping to Elgato personally.

This arm is absolute trash. After about a week of a small microphone being hooked up, the arm won't even stay up. And because I waited a few weeks before setting up my studio, I can't even get a refund. I'm so bummed out, this stuff was a big expenditure for me. Don't buy this arm. I seriously can't overstate how trash this arm is and how garbage Amazon is for not letting me return it.
