SPARK CATCH Light Up Baseball, Glow in The Dark

We’ve tried other light-up balls before, but most felt flimsy or lit up too easily. This one is different because it actually performs like a real baseball. At first, I was tossing it barehanded with my son, and it took a few firm throws to get the light to activate. But once we started using gloves, it lit up almost every time. That’s when I realized it’s designed to avoid accidental activation and is meant for real catch with a glove. The glow is bright, the feel is solid, and after a couple of weeks of evening catch, it’s still going strong. If you’ve been let down by other light-up balls, this one is worth it!

This is the coolest baseball. It works perfectly. The quality is great. Can’t go wrong. My Grandson‘s absolutely loved it.

So much fun! My kid loves it!! It was a little confusing getting the battery in but totally worth it and I will be getting these as birthday gifts for his friends.

Leather and stitching looks and feels like a real baseball, better than multiple other brands and styles I've tried. Light is bright, and while I haven't been able to test the duration of the battery, or the durability, it seems as good as the others or better. One con is that the light is only one color. This ball is the most difficult ball to turn on by far, as the battery fit very tightly into the slot. It also needs a coin or special tool (included) to remove the battery core. To get the battery out (non rechargeable CR2032) to turn off the light, you need a small screwdriver or thin tool, which is not included. Finally, the ball has an ever so slight wobble to it in flight. The core must not be perfectly centered. All that said, it's a great ball for an adult to play catch with a younger player. The feel is great and younger players don't get enough spin for the wobble to make a difference. My 8 year old would never be able to turn it on by himself though. I recommend playing on grass only. Dirt would clog it up and the ball landed on concrete once and of course the core hit first. It seems pretty tough but it made an awful noise and I thought that it was gonna be cracked. The core sticks out very slightly now, like 1mm. The wobble didn't get any worse than before. If you fit the situation mentioned above, I'd get this ball over some of the others. If ease of turning on is more important, or changing colors, you gotta find a different ball.

So, I made my kid watch field of dreams, and now every evening (well after dark now thanks to daylight savings) my son shows up with the ball already on. He pretends to cry and be teary-eyed, and says "Hey Dad"..... (Dramatic pause) ...... "Wanna have a catch???" Its hilarious EVERY time, and how do you say no to that!?! Seriously, this thing is awesome. Feels like a real ball. Soft leather. Tight seams. You can feel the holes for the light to shine through, so splitters and two seam fb's feel a little different but no big deal. Like some said, a little tricky to turn on and off, but you get the hang of it. After seeing me do it twice, my son can do it no problemo. One warning, I notice myself staring at the stars (Mars was bright last night) and in the dark the person throwing cant tell if you're looking or not, so I almost got pegged a couple times. Pay attention in the dark! Love this thing, will order more colors!

I don't know what I expected..? It's not like baseball hard but concrete hard.. it's weight is good.. but turning it on and off is a pain in the butt and it's not as easy as following the instructions because sometimes it has to be hit quite hard to trigger the light? I had higher hopes.. it's a cool concept but not great quality..

Very fun. Worth the cost

My grandson just turned 9 years old and he loves baseball. I bought this for him as one of his birthday presents. He loves it. Easy to use and the color is very bright at night.
