PROYAMA 42.7cc 3 in 1 Gas Powered Weed Eater Wacker Brush Cutter Trimmer

Assembled easily, started easily first 3 times we used it . it ran fine. I could not get it to start after about 45 minutes of total run time. Motor would fire a little but not run -no matter how much we dried it out or how fresh the fuel was or how we manipulated the choke; it was getting fuel as mix vapor was seen coming out of exhaust . We checked: sparkplug, swapped spark plug with a known good plug - no joy isolated ignition from switch- no joy pulled it apart- verified flywheel key had not sheared, verified magneto airgap etc, piston and rings looked virgin . installed new coil today -same deal- no start- it would sound as if firing but wouldnt kick off and run. unit has spark but seems very weak Pulled carb apart with no issues apparent. all diaphragms flexy and clean. Inlet needle arm level with casting. high speed needle in good condition. Now in process of re-setting mixture screws. Unit has plenty of compression but will check with gage today. Piston and rings still cherry as seen thru the intake port. If i can figure out why the sumbitch wont start i will revise my rating but there is another reviewer had same exact problem but do not know what his resolution was. Epilogue: Proyama customer service (very polite and sincere) have offered to refund me money OR send me a refurbed/second hand unit. Yes , fool that I am , I accepted their offer of the second hand unit. I cant resist...this damn thing should run..it DID run fine the first tank of gas! I am going to fix it or die trying. Maybe I end up with two piles of junk and a bruised ego or maybe I end up with at least one serviceable unit plus a pile of spare parts. Meantime I am still looking for my little doggie. The grass has now grown so tall I cant even see the tip of her tail above the grass...I know she is out there somewhere...... I will bump to 5 stars if this second unit actually runs. I bump to 3 stars for now because these guys really seem to be genuinely trying to help me. Also now that I have had this unit broken down I can say the construction is good and does not see to be full of cheap shortcuts. Piston has two rings. Overall Machining is good /clean. I think it will give good service if I can get it to run. EPILOGUE: Proyama offered to send me at no charge a good refurbished unit. I accepted of course. It looks brand new but the locking knob for shaft extension is damaged , probably from shipping. But otherwise this unit has never been used! I gassed it up and it started right up with only a half of a pull. I have stopped and started it 10-12 times , all easy single pull starts. I took the carb off of this unit and put it on my original unit--same deal--firs but wont kick off and run. Now very puzzled. So I set the original carb up just like the replacement unit's carb and will re-install and try again. I also intend to pressure/vacuum check the crankcase to see if maybe the crank seals(s) failed. At first pass it still behaves as if not getting enough gas...... Also when I put the replacement unit's carb back on the replacement unit it again started and ran nicely! I am bumping to 5 stars as I think the unit is well made and PROYAMA'S CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXCELLENT. I will update the review as I dig deeper into the original unit's issue.

****Grease the foot----it's dry!!!!!**** Stupid fun, makes light work of difficult tasks. Beefy. I'm clearing a overgrown fence row right now that's been took over by privet hedges and let go for 5+ years. This thing is having no trouble dropping 2-4" hedges and saplings, like butter. If you take your time 6" is well within cutting power, by time I mean 4-6 seconds. Over all I'm impressed. 4hrs run time today and it's wanting more. Super easy to crank. Not overly loud. Fuel economy is actually great, 50:1 mix. Fighting with the chest rig to hit that comfortable sweet spot but that's just me nit picking. I would 100% buy another one. Honestly this would make a sick gift for a new homeowner. Foot came dry!!!! Grease the foot with good high quality lithium grease!!!!!!!!! I fully was expecting it to be dry. Just do your normal maintenance check like you do with any new machine. Other then that you're golden. QC and packaging seems really good.

Directions are comically bad, basically useless so if you’re not good at these kinds of assemblies you may have problems. The machine started right up and ran great. I ran it pretty hard and cleared about 1/4 acre of overgrown grass. I then attached the circular saw blade and had no issue cutting through thin small plants and trees. Not sure what would use it for but the three blade attachment is sharpened on the wrong side. Overall, the machine works great and does what I needed it for, for a great price. They just need to put some mild effort into directions

The string trimmer head for this PROYAMA weedeater might be one of the most useless things I’ve ever come across. They desperately need to work on the design of this. It does not feed line at all. You get about one minute of use before the line breaks and won’t feed out anymore. Not only that, but it is a pain to feed line back into it. The little notches that are supposed to be used to hold your line. Don’t work either, your line constantly slips out and loses his tension. If they would just provide a well designed string trimmer head, this would be a great product! It’s strong, works well, and easy to set up. Fire is right up on the first pull. Can’t get my job done when my stream won’t feed though. Unless they have a solution for this, I will be returning this product. Save your money.

I recently purchased their 4-cycle gas powered mower and was pleasantly surprised by the high performance, easy of operation, quality of construction and price. I decided to buy their weed/wacker as I started to cut my own lawn between my twice monthly commercial lawn maintenance. I received the package fairly quickly just like the mover. When I opened the box, to my surprise and in my opinion, this is a commercial grade, heavy duty weed/wacker. I later noticed the description as EXTREME DUTY. They are not kidding. It is over-kill and built to take on much larger jobs than that of a 1/4 acre home in So. Florida. It is heavy and you must wear the full harness supplied. After I set it up, I went to the home improvement store to buy 2-cycle oil for the fuel. I noticed the inventory of weed eaters, everything from the battery operated models to the gas powered versions. They all looked like toys compared to the one I just bought. Yes, they were light weight but the difference in built was like comparing a gas powered scooter to a Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle. Surprisingly, the engine is made by Huasheng, which is a high quality motor I have used in the past for other applications. The only time consuming part of putting together the unit which was 99% already factory assembled was figuring out how to put on the harness and adjusting the handles on the unit to balance the machine so that it was neutral balance if you took your hands off of the unit while it was still hanging from the harness. Apart from that, it was easy to set up. To sum it up, I highly recommend this unit if you have a commercial lawn maintenance business or you have a 1-acre or larger home. For my application, it is more than I expected but at least I know the light application I will be giving this twice a month during the summer grow season in So. Florida should allow this unit to last me a life-time. This is not for women or men that lack muscle. The low price they charge fools you in to thinking you are receiving a light weight application model. I give this unit a 5-Star for price and quality.

Bought it to cut a ton of saplings (up to 2in) around my house, cut them down like butter. Looked at Husqvarna and they were about double the price and the reviews were not great, so I took a chance. Starts up every time on the 5th pull if it’s cold, no issues at all. Has a ton of power. I’m actually going to buy their chainsaw soon to help clear my property. People say it’s way louder than others and I would disagree, it sounds about as loud as you’d expect it lol. The harness isn’t the best, but unless you’re using it every day it’s not an issue. Just play around with it until it feels comfortable. Edit: Surprisingly enough customer service is fantastic, they replied within a day to an issue I had (turns out I didn’t read the instructions as well as I should have)

The weed eater itself is great. It's powerful and gets the job done. The instructions could be improved and more detailed. The harness that came with it was terrible and already broke. But customer service is aware of the issue and sending me a better harness. Overall, no regrets on this. Thank you. Update: The more I use it, the more problems I encounter. It still runs great. I already contacted them about the terrible harness, which they replaced. But more problems have come about. The safety guard has fallen off after one of the screws feel out. The spool for the line doesn't feed when the line breaks, making it impossible to use. I had to slam the button on the concrete and it still wouldn't feed. I can't just use the blades all the time.

I purchased the Proyama 42.7cc Gas Weed Wacker, 3 in 1 Weed Eater Gas Powered, Brush Cutter and Gas String Trimmer 2-Cycle Extreme Duty. Assembly was a breeze, adjusting the harness for a comfortable fit and good balance on the trimmer took a small amount of time. The engine started on the second pull, very impressive, but after 60 seconds of running the engine quit. Turned out to be a bad coil. I contacted Proyama, and they immediately sent me out a new coil, received it in 4 days from China. Installed the new coil, set the gap and it has been running flawlessly for over 6 hours now. Starts on the first or second pull. Only downfall to this trimmer is the supplied blades for bushwhacking a very cheap. Other than that this is a good product for the money.

It’s heavy, harness is not that comfortable and instructions could be better but when assembled, gassed up, chose the string attachment to test, WOW what a power house. Prime, 3 pulls on C setting then released trigger and it started no problem. Ran for 30 minutes using both string and tri-blade, excellent performance. Could feel the heat from the motor but the plastic housing did a good job protecting you. Will report back after a month of use and let you know how it is still performing!! Definitely on first impression a product worth considering. 👏

I have only run this for a few minutes through some elephant ears with the tri-tip blade after spending an hour adjusting it and the harness so I will update if there are any problems. Comparing this to the $1600 Stihl FS560 I have used, I am impressed. I'm running 25:1 gas for the first couple of tanks to break it in, you can tell everything is tight. The instructions are pretty light on the details, if you are not familiar with clearing saws you may have to look at the web site photos to assemble it. It comes with the wrenches you need to do everything. Took me a minute to find the primer bulb , which is under the air filter. It's no louder than my 26cc Weed Whacker. Didn't even take any of the safety stuff out of the plastic, it looks really cheap, but if you have nothing it'll probably get you started. The harness is a nightmare to fit, and unless you want to spend $200 on a Stihl Advance X-Treem harness, they are all pretty much going to be a nightmare to adjust. Because this is a handlebar model, you can't use the trimmer without the harness so spend some time figuring it out. Remember that you are trying to get the hook to the top of your right hip and work from there. Once you get that sorted, move the bars so that you can hold them standing straight up and have the blade sit on the rider cup with the blade parallel to the floor. I can tell I will probably break the guard off at some point and it will need replacement rider cups as all clearing saws do, so I hope those are available to purchase.

Ok so not gunna lie, I didn't have much hope for this unit, one always has to be slightly concerned when you can pick up a 42cc two stroke weed whacker for this cheap. To me it looks like it's probably a Chinese copy of a commercial grade Stihl or Husqvarna. Sure it might not have the same support as those big name brands, but it's a freaking two stroke weed whacker there isn't much that can go wrong with it. I have spent a couple months now putting it through constant hot suppers, its had about 40L of gas ran through it, and using the included 3T blade I brush cut mine and my neighbours front ditches without hassle. My only gripe was that the line feeder on it was spooled incorrectly from the factory so it didn't want to advance when you bumped it; however, after a quick respool it worked perfectly fine. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another one should mine die, but I honestly don't think that will be an issue. Look at the price of this, then go look at the price of a 26cc homelite or echo from Home Depot...this is a way better deal. Hate to glaze it so much, but this was probably my best purchase of 2026!

Everything worked as it said it would. Started right up on 3rd pull following the start up procedure in the manual. Runs and operates like any other 2 stroke yard tool. It is a heavier trimmer but I had expected that for the engine size. The harness takes a little adjusting but works well once you get it sorted out. I’ve ran 1.5 tanks of fuel so far with the string head and it works great. Upgrading to a higher quality string is probably a good suggestion. Cuts well but seems a little brittle and jammed a couple times. Reloading is simple and same as most other string heads. I haven’t tried the blade heads yet but it has plenty of power to run them I’m sure. So far it seems to be fairly well built and worth the money comparing it to the same size, name brand options. The manual has all the parts numbers listed and contact for the company so I’m hoping replacements parts are available to fix if things break but I think it should hold its own against the big brands. For just a home owner who familliar with gas powered equipment and just needs something to maintain or help clear your property, it’s a great budget option without sacrificing power to get bigger jobs done. Spending less than half of what I would on a name brand option of the same size gave me more of a budget for other tools I needed.

Not a bad machine. Have used it quite a bit this past summer and not a flaw with it. Runs a little rich but thats better than lean. We will see how it runs next spring. Liked how it came with multiple parts and blades. Update, give it a one star now. Will not start keeps flooding even bought a new carburetor and spark plug for it. I don't know why this happened? Worked good all last summer.
