This is basically a strong electrolyte, minerals needed for proper hydration. The product itself seems top quality and very pure. You get a lot for the money and will last for a very long time. All supplements are suggested to be taken in powder form vs pills. All Pure Balks products seem top quality and some of the best deals to be found. How to make Magnesium Bicarbonate Concentrate: 1. Get 1 liter of regular Seltzer Water (refrigerated) 2. Weigh out 3.6 grams of Magnesium Hydroxide. (About 1 teaspoon if scale not available) 3. Without shaking the bottle, gently open it. Quickly pour in the Magnesium Hydroxide. Quickly close and shake thoroughly. 4. Place bottle in fridge for 30 mins for the Magnesium Hydroxide to react with the CO2 in the seltzer. 5. Take it out after 30 mins and shake one last time. Let it settle in the fridge for another 30 mins and it's ready for consumption. The Magnesium Hydroxide reacts with the CO2 in the seltzer and creates Magnesium Bicarbonate. You will see the seltzer bottle cave in, signaling that the reaction is working (towards the end). You may adjust how much Magnesium Hydroxide you use, you will know you're using too much because you will see white sediments at the bottom of the bottle (this is un-reacted Magnesium Hydroxide). Also the brand of Soda/Seltzer you use, as well as other factors will determine the amount of Magnesium Hydroxide you need to use. Some brands carbonate more and thus more Magnesium Hydroxide can be used. Not to worry if you put in too much and you see white sediment at the bottom, it is not bad for you - it just creates a laxative effect. You may use this Magnesium Bicarbonate concentrate 1-2 8 ounce glasses a day, or preferably create a diluted solution for all day drinking. How to make diluted solution to drink all day: 1. Measure out 11 ounces or 1/3 liter from the Concentrate (1/3 of bottle). 2. Add 3.5 liters of your drinking water (Preferably distilled or filtered) 3. Combine the two to make 1 Gallon of drinking water. You can consume this in 1 day. This concentrate would make about 10-11 liters of drinking water. I personally make a healthy Gallon drinking jug every day. Start with clean distilled water I add Magnesium Bicarbonate, Potassium Gluconate, fresh lemons, Chia seeds, Pinch of Sea salt.

I received this today, I had been anticipating its arrival and had my seltzer water all ready – to make my own mag bicarb water. I followed the recipe given ny reviewer LarryD (the 2nd top review for this product), adding 2 tsp of this powder to 1 litre of seltzer water (see my posted pictures). I have to really thank him for such clear instructions. It worked out beautifully and I tested the pH of my water after adding 11 oz of the resulting concentrate to 1 gallon of structured water (hexagonal, hydrogen rich, shungite water) . It came out between 8.0 and 9.0 pH. I couldn’t believe it. NOTHING I have tried has given me such a pH before. Now I do know that the pH of water matters not entirely. One has to ask the question why the water is alkaline. In this case, I know that I am drinking water rich in magnesium bicarbonates – replenishing the bicarbonates in my blood and helping my body continuously rid itself of new and stored acidic wastes. I am so thrilled. This product makes it so easy to do. I love this magnesium hydroxide powder! I had been using the messy liquid Milk of Magnesia (generic brands from the Dollar stores) previously, and this powder is so much better. I make my own toothpaste (2 teaspoons magnesium powder and 2 tablespoons filtered water) to brush my teeth with. It's good for cleaning, whitening, and getting a little of that needed magnesium into the body. I also put a couple of teaspoons under my tongue for 15 minutes a day for even more sublingual absorption of this needed mineral. The magnesium paste has become my go-to deodorant -- it really works well once you get used to a little bit of sweating without any smell. I suppose I might have a back-up deodorant for my wedding day or if I was wearing a silk dress to a dinner party and needed no perspiration whatsoever. But for regular use, it's a wonderful deodorant without any toxic additives. Lastly, I make magnesium water with the powder in order to get more magnesium into my body. Since 80% of people are magnesium deficient, sipping on mag water is an easy and tolerable way to increase magnesium thought out the day. No bowel issues, but make sure to make the mag water by following a recipe using a liter of seltzer water and adding the magnesium powder. It IS NOT just this magnesium powder added to regular tap water. Enjoy this product and it's many uses!

This is a powder. It is used to regulate your digestion. You can get the same results, I understand, by buying a chewable version. It works, but I would not take a whole teaspoonful. And, depending on your tolerance, I would experiment and like me, take it every other day if that works better. So, you can see it will last for a loooong time. I mixed it with boiling water with an herbal tea. Be sure it dissolves. (That is why I chose the hot water method.) I also find that sometimes it helps with sleep of you drink it between dinner and bedtime.

Best magnesium hydroxide I’ve found so far to make my own magnesium carbonate water. I used to use milk of magnesia but it’s gotten harder to find it without added ingredients that contaminate the process. Highly recommend if you are making your own magnesium water.

Awesome product! Magnesium is essential for every process in the human body and many people are deficient. You can ingest magnesium or apply it to your skin to get the needed benefits. We use this powder not only for its needed benefits, but also as a deodorant. From my own research, I have found that magnesium hydroxide (milk of magnesium) works wonders as a deodorant. But I did not want to use store bought MoM because of additional (oftentimes hidden) ingredients. So, I found BulkSupplements website here on Amazon and figured on mixing their magnesium hydroxide powder with an aloe vera liquid that keeps at room temperature (other than water) would be a good start. I bought this for my teen daughters and they have been using it ever since with no issues of odor. My youngest daughter emptied her old deodorant bottle and washed it out and put the magnesium paste inside and now uses it as her roll on. I keep the magnesium-aloe paste in a 4-oz Ball canning jar. The deodorant they used prior (Alvera) that I thought was aluminum-free, I discovered had aluminum in it. I also use the magnusium-aloe paste as a facial mask, not only does it gently exfoliates, but it also makes my skin very soft and supple.
