Great set for a great price!!
The Cook N Home Pots and Pans Set Nonstick, 10-Piece Ceramic Kitchen Cookware Sets, Nonstick Cooking Set with Saucepans, Frying Pans, Dutch Oven Pot with Lids, Red, may be “cheap in price” but it is not cheap in quality!! This set is not just pretty, it’s actually sturdy. All the sizes are perfect. The lids are perfect as far as fit goes. The vent hole is a great addition. So far, not once has a handle gotten even warm. Cleaning them has been a delight, & I hate washing my other pots and pans. I’m using these on my glass cooktop stove and they are without a doubt, amazing!! If you like food, If you like to cook, grab a set of these. You won’t be mad about it.

Pleased as Punch!
Like others initially I am beyond pleased - a pretty retro avocado that isn't muddy, and every piece was perfect and without a blemish. Really well packaged. I chose these for several reasons but especially the price as it seems no matter how much people pay there are a portion of reviews where the ceramic fails. If it was going to happen I didn't want to spend so much money. The pans are light, which I was looking for as I will be using the set partially in a motorhome. The lids though are glass, however, so they are heavy. I also appreciate the the knobs of the lids being the same plastic as the handles so I don't have to have a pot holder to take them off. The handles are great, as well - often the handles are too heavy or feel awkward - these fit nice in the hand with an indention for where the thumb lands. It says in the little pamphlet that came with the set you can put these in the oven up to 350 degrees. Haven't tried that and not sure I'll be brave enough to, but might be nice to know for someone reading this. So far cooking is a breeze - but I will say I usually cook with some sort of liquid, oil or butter. I think I read somewhere this continues to help keep the pan polymerized/seasoned like cast iron. I wanted something for eggs (which no matter how I try to them always leave seared on gook to my stainless, and also that I could clean up easier in an RV where sometimes you are not hooked up to water and need to conserve. I can easily wipe these out with a paper towel before cleaning. I also thought it was awesome that each lid fit each piece so you have one for every size (even though you'll have to share - 4 lids, 6 pieces). I especially like the bigger fry pan which has the higher edges. Also the nice two handles on the stockpots. Overall just an extremely well thought out set and a tremendous value (if you've priced sets). I did notice it seems to take longer to heat up - but it could be because I'm cooking over lower heat per instructions. Just put a lid on to help move things along and starting to take that into consideration. So far the bottoms are staying clean - silver and ridged - not magnetized, couldn't use these for induction. I cook over low flame and gas/propane, wait til they cool before I clean, and hand wash with a mild soap. I've kept the cardboard inserts for protection when storing for now. I'll come back and update when/if they fail.

Great basic set
I bought this set as just the basic beginning cookware. It's just my fiancé and I right now, and I'm a poor, broke college student. I couldn't beat the price and they're decent quality so I thought, what the hey, if they get damaged they were only fifty bucks. And this set gets the job done, and it does it well. They heat pretty quickly, and cut cooking time down, making it quicker to whip up some dinner. The ceramic coating is pretty awesome, it makes for great non-stick and easy clean up. I have only used them for a little over a month, but they're fantastic. Some things that definitely need to be followed, or you will ruin them: - You cannot let things over boil/fry on to the pans. It will eat away at the ceramic and that's when the coating comes off...which is one of the number one complaints from other consumers. - You should definitely wash the pot after use if you cook any type of red sauce. If you let it get too hot or sit for too long, it can stain and discolor the pot. - Do not over heat the pots. You really do not need to put these puppies on high heat. They get pretty hot on their own, and pretty quickly too. One downside, which I'm not too entirely bummed about, is that it did not come with the lid for the smallest frying pan and quart pan. This set comes with 4 interchangeable lids, and I only received 3. But, I just bought one at Walmart for a few bucks. Eventually, I would like to upgrade in the future and get a higher quality set. Another is that you need to be careful when grabbing the quart pans by the handles. There are two screws that hold the rubber grips on that heat up quickly and can be a nice, painful reminder to use pot holders. But for these two cons, you can't beat the price...or that awesome green veneer.

Great set, but dont expect it to last very long!
This is a beautiful set and is everything I was looking for. I wanted a cook set that offered the advantages of non-stick cooking but is still environment friendly and healthy. I was really skeptical about letting go off my non-stick cookware but we really wanted to live & eat healthier. After lot of research, we bought this set. Here are the advantages 1. It has a ceramic coating that's free of PFOE, PFOA & Teflon/lead (per manufacturer) 2. It has a true non-stick surface, is very easy to clean and handle. 3. Very attractive looking. I thought its too good to be true for the price tag. However with time, I learnt that the set may not last very long. I have had it for a few months and had to already throw away one pan and others are showing some scratches and damages telling me that it's time to look for another set. I never used metal utensils, always hand washed. I use it on low/medium heat. However below listed maybe few factors that might have caused the damage. I made eggs on it a few times and it started to stick after the first couple of times. I also tried to make pancakes which I think is a major trigger in spoiling the set. You will notice the yellowing...then slowly blackening of the pot surfaces. I used sponge and seventh generation free & clear dish soap (hand wash only). Most often I just rinse it avoiding soap to save the lifespan of the pot if it looks clean. I am not sure if I should have been more careful with the set such as definitely avoiding making pancakes and perhaps things such as eggs and certain type of sautéing. Bottom line, this is still a great set for the price if you are prepared to replace the set in about 6 months or so. I don't know if you will definitely need to but I need to replace the most often used ones. I may pick a different and slightly more expensive set this time around though my husband told me we could get the same set again if we wanted to with the expectation that it needs replacement in another 6-7 months down the lane.

Best purchase ever made on Prime
Oh man oh man where oh where do i begin? I FREAKIN LOOOOOVE these pots!!! Best purchase of pots i have EVER bought! I was searching for years for a great pot set that was nonstick and with good heat retention for even cooking. To be honest I was highly skeptical due to the price of these pots. It seemed far too cheap for a good sturdy product. But I must say I am pleasantly surprised. Since ordering these pots, i have virtually replaced every specialty pot I purchased and collected over the years. Almost immediately I noticed the reduction in oil and butter I was using for cooking. I honestly can say I have cut down 80% of the oil/butter I use when cooking. Not only has my fat use decreased but the time it takes for my food to cook has also decreased. My rice cooks much faster and looks much fluffier. My meats (especially stewed beefs/curries etc.) cooks fork tender in half the time! Cleanup by the way? FREAKIN EASY!!!!!!! no matter what you cook or cook down in these pots anything burned will wash off with ease. I use a smile sponge with water and soap and cleanup is a snap! For me this is HUGE since I love to cook but I hate the after mess (who doesnt right lol) I use these pots for everything!!!!! for rice, pancakes, stews, searing steaks EVERY-FREAKIN-THING! When I first took them out of the box I was a bit worried about the size. They seemed so small and compact but It works well cooking for 3-8 people easily. The only con I can say is attached to this pot set is the handles sometimes give off a weird plastic smelll when the heat from the stove gets a bit intense. It is pretty foul but moving the handle toward a more cool area will eliminate the smell. Overall, I would buy these pots for every single home chef I know. I intend on buying these pots for my mother for xmas. And will be on the lookout for other products from this company. LOVE LOVE LOVE! One of the BEST purchases I have ever made on Amazon!!

Good, solid pans even 8 years later (2016 original purchase)
I've had this exact set nearly 8 years and they are just as good as they were the day I bought them. Excellent set, especially for the cost. I'd buy them again, but they really last. They have been my primary set for years. Love them! Good to cook with, never burned, super easy to clean. I never put them in the oven though. Handles are never hot. I've got a few nicks in the ceramic (my fault), so considering a placement set. Very glad they still make them. The glass did get "foggy " over the years but I don't know why. Also, the screws on the pots got rusty on the bottom, inside the underside of the handles over the years, but this hasn't affected the pans at all. Also hasn't stained any dish towels, so quite minor. I've used them on glass top and gas stoves with good results on either. If you buy them, they should not disappoint.

No longer amazed.
UPDATE 10/29/15: those these were used with great care, not going over 6 on the stove and always using silicon dish utensils. While boiling water for noodles the handle loosened, unbeknownst to me. It felt weird when I picked up the lid but I didn't need it after a while. Flash forward, that same lid came apart by the loose screw and the screw fell in pot of stew less than 11 months from buying it. No biggie, I used them daily, sometimes 3 of 4 eyes for 1 meal. I will state that they were great until that screw fell in food and I wished that I had the to report it to the manufacturer but I will just replace them and let Amazon customers know that within 9 months of overuse, you need to be careful, as these are not made to be used that frequently. You get what you pay for and so to that, I say, I got the most of the $50-odd bucks it costs me in June of 2014. I only am writing as a courtesy but honestly for the price. I don't regret it. I think someone who cooks whole food meals as often as I do cannot expect perfection but this product is, for me, a 3-star product. As for reviewers who report chipping off and scratching within days, I can only suspect but have no real idea, (just from from other cookware brands) that their dishwasher placement was the issue or the product didn't go so well with the combinations of materials used while cooking, washing and storing it. Not a huge deal unless this is what you feel is a lot of money. For me, it was bargain basement pricing on ceramic cookware, so I am not that discourage because I got close to a thousand uses out of the set as a whole. I have started training to cook by frying eggs circa 1984-1985 as small child (not even in Kindergarten yet), and have been cooking ever since. I just love to cook, bake, and just "throw-down". This set is amazing because the box seems ultra-light as a feather for all it encompassed, yet each pot and lid is super-heavy, well-made in quality. I am pleased to have purchased mine directly from Amazon, LLC and even my husband, who is far pickier on some types of materials being that he works as a technician by trade, was very impressed. This is set that is steal for under $60 and I would have paid thrice (3x) that price if guaranteed that the quality was a great as the majority of the reviewers have stated. I bought mine in red but the black and green appealed. Color, aside, because the color has nothing to do with whether it works, the pans heat quickly and consistently and you don't even have to use as high a heat for tasks like scrambling eggs or making grilled cheese, because these pans are just awesome. For quality, the price, and the fact that they are such a space-saving set, none of the pots and pans are too wide in length and all...buy it! You cannot go wrong.

Exceeded my expectations!
After going through my old pots and pans, I realized I was low and missing more than what I had. From lending to family member and throwing old ones out, I knew I needed to get a new cheap set somewhere. I ran upon these on Amazon and immediately fell in love with the colors, which match perfectly with my kitchen. I added these to my cart and looked around a bit more, checking to see if I would find anything else that would match the price. I came up on several others that were a little pricier, but they either had wild colors that didn't match or had terrible reviews. So, I went with these .. and I am glad I did! They arrived extremely fast and well packaged (double boxed so nothing was dented or smashed). Upon getting them out, it came with everything pictured. They're smooth, no chips anywhere in the colors, and are true to what you see in the photos. The handles were very sturdy, except for maybe one? I was able to tighten the screw a little bit, which was no problem at all. Works and feels just fine. You get 4 lids for 6 pieces so you can rotate a few out, and they all fit perfectly. I've used several pieces out of this set just about every morning for breakfast and just about every evening for dinner, and so far they have held up just fine. Nothing has peeled off, not burn marks, and they have a great non-stick surface. They've been perfect for eggs, gravy, and frying potatoes .. it all slides off and into the bowl. Don't have to stand and scrape! Cleaning them is a breeze, too. Let them soak for a little bit, wipe them clean, and you're good to go for the next round of cooking. I honestly didn't expect these to be that good. I have a few Paula Deen pans that do really well, but if you want a steal for more, then these are just as good. They're perfect for those just starting out in a new home, as a gift to newlyweds, to just give to family or friends, or those like me who are just wanting some new pots and pans to get the job done. They're not super high quality and I do have some that are better that I paid a pretty penny for, but you really can't complain when it comes to the price with this set. It's a steal.

Great set!
I love these saucepans; they're the perfect sizes for two people and look great, too. Cooking with them is very easy. They're lightweight but get the job done. Because they have a ceramic coating, they can't tolerate high heat, so add a little more time to your cooking and you will be very satisfied with the results. Clean-up is so easy, even if they've been left sitting for a while. I'm completely satisfied with these saucepans and am very happy that I chose them.

Excelente compra!!
Excelente producto!!
