Totally Fun!
This was such a fun way to get conversations going and learn more about each other! No questions that would start any kind of controversy, just fun, happy to think about things to answer. Great for all ages.

wow! I never thought something so simple could change our everyday dinner time so much
Before I bought this, dinner time was a mess. We have two kids ages 6 and 10. My 10 year old eats super fast and then leaves the table and gets annoyed with everyone else for being slow. My 6 year old is the slowest eater on the planet. My husband and I were mostly spending dinner time doing behavior management every day. I dreaded it. Once we started using this deck a few weeks ago everything changed! Our kids sit and talk with us about fascinating things the whole time - I mean they still bicker - but we are connecting more than doing behavior management. AND it keeps our oldest at the table and engaged with us (which has always been a struggle). And we learn new things about each other which is awesome. I’m already worried about what will happen when we run out of cards (though there are a TON so I don’t think that will happen soon). And it’s helping them learn how to have meaningful conversations - and etiquette around how to talk in a group and give others space. I love it If you are craving more connection with your kiddos and easier dinners - this has worked well for us.

Great interaction with kids
Love these. Went through several of these this morning with my 10-year-old granddaughter. Amazing what I can learn from her by her answers. Surprisingly mature and insightful answers for her age. Great discussion starters. A little pricey, but the quality of the acrylic case and the thickness of the cards mean great durability. And I feel the questions are timeless, so I think it’s a good value.

Family Table Topics
My family is one one a dying breed that eats dinner at the table together every night. Throughout the years, I've used various conversation-starting techniques ("How was your day starting with the letter M?" or "How was your day ending with '... and then I had a delicious dinner!'?) When I came across this cube of cards on Amazon, it seemed like it was made for my family. The price was a little steep, but I decided to give it to myself as a Christmas gift. The cards arrived in good condition; my plastic cube was in perfect shape, not damaged at all as some other reviewers have experienced. Each card has one question printed on it. The questions aren't anything groundbreaking or earth shattering - you could have probably thought of all of them yourself, if you had the time and inclination. The cards include questions such as: what's your favorite dessert who is one of your heroes and why do they inspire you would you keep a secret if you knew someone would get hurt if you did if you were showing a foreigner around your town where would you take them what's your favorite family tradition what do you say when someone gives you a gift you already have if you could speak another language which would you choose how does a person become courageous what would you like to change about your school Overall Impressions Pros: - My kids (ages 12 and 9) LOVE these cards. They really look forward to answering the questions every day. - The plastic cube is thick and sturdy. The overall design is very attractive. - The cards are thick cardstock and seem durable enough. - These are a fun and simple way to get people talking and thinking at the table Cons: - You may have noticed that the questions listed above have no capitalization and almost no punctuation. I typed them out just as they are written on the cards. Really. This drives me absolutely crazy. I get that it's probably supposed to be "stylistic," and I'm as big a fan of ee cummings as the next gal, but my 9 year old really struggles with writing skills. I would have liked it better if these cards provided more of a model of good mechanics. Would it have killed the people at Tabletopics to at LEAST throw in a comma here and there?? (I won't even bring up the fact that the plurality of the noun and pronoun in the foreigner question doesn't match. Argh!) - The cards are supposed to be used at the table, and ours are. Unfortunately, kids, spaghetti, and white-edged cards do not really mix. After 2 months, our cards look pretty grubby. You could either look at the visible grunge as a design flaw (darker colored cards wouldn't show as much dirt), or you could view it as a testament to how much and often we really do use the cards. :-) - The price was pretty steep (especially considering all the ink they must be saving by skipping the punctuation!) I don't regret the purchase, but if these had been $12 instead of $25, I would really love them! All in all, I like these cards, but I have to remove stars for the atrocious grammar and punctuation.

Genuine family bonding that the kids actually look forward to
The questions are just amazing for my family with 6 and 7 year old. I bought them for a vacation where we would be spending lots of time in the car and these were an unexpected absolute home run hit for everyone. The kids loved them, and it gives us as parents the chance to talk about things that are important and great teaching opportunities, but just never pop in our minds to discuss. Teaching and learning opportunities, and genuine family together time that the kids actually enjoy??? All around just great, couldn't be happier

Dinner Time=Family Fun
We have 6 children and we just started using Table Topics. It has been such a joy to get to listen to the responses to the questions from each family member. We have had some fun conversations that have had us laughing so hard. Usually, our 3 year old is the one that comes up with something completely off the wall that has us in stitches. :) It has really transitioned our meals from boring to fun and memorable. Yes, you could make these yourself, but truly, who has time to come up with all the questions and make the little cards when you are raising a family? The box they come in is really nice and durable, too and looks nice on the table. :) Oh, another nice aspect of this game is that you can also use it to help teach your children to be respectful in listening to each others answers and to take turns. We have had issues with that and I *hope* this will help in that department. I have noticed them doing better while playing the game. I would highly recommend this to families for regular family meals, or even for when you have company over. It is a great way to get to know your family. :)

Great conversations
The conversations have helped us connect during family dinners. We are learning about each other, which is hard with a large busy family.

A MUST-HAVE FOR ANY FAMILY!
I found Table Topics when I was looking for conversation starters for me and my husband. I was so intrigued by Table Topics that when I saw there were multiple categories I took a gamble and bought 4 sets! I bought Not Your Mom's Dinner Party, Couples, Family, and Girl's Night Out. Conversations from a single card could last anywhere from one minute to one hour! I have learned so much about myself, spouse, family and friends! Anyone we have played them with loves them as well. We keep them around the house so they are handy at all times. The high quality, clear boxes, are nice looking and sturdy. There are political, personal, fun, funny and thoughtful questions. My kids are 18 and 21 years old. Some of the cards are geared towards children in elementary school - asking about recess, etc., but we always find a way to either tweak the card or just reminisce about when we were younger. Basically, it is your game, you make the rules! We have always had great family discussions at the dinner table, but this game has taken us to a whole new (BETTER) level! Some examples of cards are: What's the most important right a person has? Which of your 5 senses would you be saddest to lose? Why do you think people do or say mean things to other people? If you could go to the Olympics in one sport, which would you choose? What do children know more about than adults?

Great for restless kids at the dinner table
My family loves Table Topics at the dinner table and on road trips. Perfect boredom buster questions for lots of good laughs and heart-felt conversations. Great tool to use to keep restless kids calm at the dinner table.

Get to know your family.
This is how I learned my brother went to the Galápagos Islands! Table Topics has now become a get together tradition. We have 6 sets it total and has lead to countless hours of meaningful conversation. My kids will know their grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins way better than I did all because of these cards.
