I got what I ordered and they work as I expected

WHAT’S INCLUDED: 2 Neewer RGB Lightbulbs 2 Diffusers 2 Lightbox Stands 2 Softboxes 2 Stand Carrying Covers Stand instructions Carrying Case PRODUCT/THOUGHTS: -You get quite a bit with this whole setup. The overall stands are about moderate quality, which is the usual for neewer products. -The mount for the light boxes are lesser of quality but still acceptable made of a type of softer plastic. -The RGB Bulbs will need to be connected to the Neewer App which is very easy to do. You can set them up in a group so you can change both bulbs at the same time if you want or you can just adjust them individually. The app gives you alot of various control with many settings so experiment and the find the one that works for your current situation. -I did have some trouble understanding at the first how to push the ring down over the lightbulb socket (Prior to screwing in the lightbulb) but you do need to push it down all the way and the ring will go around it. Then screw in the light bulb. -The diffuser’s will come folded up so there will be creases in them. Just be aware of that but it won’t affect functionality. -One more thing to be aware of, these are short stem lighting kits. Made to be on something like a desk or table. But you do get pull pivot adjustment on the lightbox heads if you need to point them up or down. I think its a good package overall. The carrying case isn’t super quality. It’s about a lightweight nylon but it’ll get the job done.

I have a little home studio where I've set up these lights and mostly use them for close-up macro photography and they've been working great for me so far. They're not battery powered, which is my only minor complaint with them but the AC cables are extra long and work well enough. They're easy to setup, only needed to attach the light head to the stands and everything needed is included and stores away in a really nice carrying case that's provided. Light output is fantastic, both in white and RGB light and they can get way brighter than I ever need, so that's a plus. The app control is nice to have but the Neewer app is a bit convoluted and could be improved but it's workable once you get the hang of it. I think these are a fantastic value for the money and a very easy way to add high quality light to your photoshoots.

It’s tiny, under 3ft tall. They need to make that more clear. Completely useless, must be set on a table or something.

Softboxes are a wonderful thing. They produce a nice controlled light over the subject. Add in a control that can change the color and add effects. And you have more than the average Softbox. Using the App To Control The Lights Instructions come with each bulb. That is where the QR code for downloading the app is at. When you get to the download page, use the third-party option. Downloading using the main option requires translating the wording. Also, my Android would not open the app when I downloaded it using the primary option. Your phone may not have this problem. But why take chances? Once installed, open the app and create an account. You need this account to control the bulbs. Turn on the bulbs. Next, pair the bulbs to the app. Now, have fun playing with the controls. I have to admit. It was fun. I can not wait to use this light kit on a shoot. What I like about these softboxes. The full range of color. A remote control controls the lights. The CRI and TLIC are near 100%, making for a great color rendition. Dimming the lights removes the need for scrims and gels to lower the light output. The soft boxes and stands fold down into a compact, easy-to-carry case. The softboxes fit other types of stands. True story. I had to photograph a product that was on a table higher than the light stand's maximum height. I could not put the stands on the table. So, I placed the softboxes on taller light stands with no problems. This product has been fully thought out. It is worth the price and is easy to learn and operate.

These lights add several lighting effects to photos and videos. Assembly is pretty straightforward although the instructions are useful for the finer details. Once assembled the next step is to download the control app. Linking it and the lights is pretty straightforward. The app allows all sorts of effects. Naturally it is RGB so many colors are available. Brightness and light temperature is also included. My favorite feature is the ability to match a light source by using the phones camera, this duplicates useful external illumination situations. It also tells you the temperature of the light source. The stands are very small, mainly for desktop situations. However, it uses a light stand base connection so I can use my other taller stands if needed. Overall I am pleased with these, the app is more than functional, the light effect are amazing, the stands are underwhelming but do there job. I can already see all the photographic uses of the lights.

NEEWER makes a lot of pretty good lights and accessories and these are no different. Well-made, easy to use, and bright plus a lot of effects and colors. Comes in a nice bag to hold it all together. Lightweight in size and easy on the pocketbook (for what it is), I'd recommend this set to anyone who wants an upgrade for their small studio. I didn't have any problems with mine and I don't think anyone else will, either.

This is a great, inexpensive lighting kit that's reasonably priced and decently portable. The stands are sturdy and will work great in a small studio or on location. As far as photography lighting equipment goes, this is one of the best values I've found.
