I bought this set of strip lights to use in a lamp project. I needed a decent amount of light output with a lot of flexibility to aid in the fit. These were very easy to install in my case, as I didn’t need to use the adhesive backing so because of this, I don’t know how sticky they would be. They work as expected and seem to be well made and durable. Connectivity is a doddle as they are pre wired.

Very pleased with lights and service will deal again

UPDATE: Well after 2 months of use, properly sealed up to make the ends water tight and we'll secured to the strip was never damaged, the lights have failed. The previous night they came on, the following night... nothing. I checked the watertight ends and the fuse, and they were fine. So now it's after the return window, this is a lot of money going in the bin. Very disappointed. We purchased this light strip in blue for our new decking area and at time of writting this, have been in use for a couple of weeks. So far so good. They are really nice and bright and easy to install. The light strip did come with a few plastic fixing brackets, but you have to supply your own screws as there were none in the box. We didn't actually use them and instead used some white "nail in" 10mm cable clips which worked well. We got the 15 metre set and you actually get almost 15 metres of light strip with a short power lead which can easily be extended, unlike other sellers which say they sell 15 metres for example bit you only get 12 metres of light and 3 metres of power cord. We hooked these up to a light sensor so they automatically come on at dusk and turn off at dawn and they really do look good, actually brighter than we expected. Only slight downside, these are advertised as waterproof and the actual light strip is covered with a clear silicone housing, but you have to glue/seal both ends of the light strip itself. You also have to keep the power cord dry which I believe also contains a LED power regulator circuit board in a white plastic housing. This housing contains small holes so I believe this has to be kept dry too, so please keep this in mind. Overall we are very happy with these lights and worth the price, but only time will tell in regards to how long they will last.

Used under a composite garden path so that it could be seen between the boards at night. Although it works very effectively, unfortunately the lighting strip is made up of several joined sections and one of the sections has failed. I’m reluctant to unscrew the path’s boards to remove the lighting strip and to return the offending item due to the faff. This is the 2nd strip I’ve bought, the first having lasted 2 or 3 years until water penetrated a ‘sealed’ joint to the mains cable.
