Very nice, very substantial, great fit and install easily.

I purchased two other styles and had tremendous difficulty installing them. Even once I got it, they did not work right (screws stripped way too easily, latch was too tight, key did not work). Then I bought this one and it was great! It installed easily and quickly as it should, no issues. After all that I definitely wanted to leave a review for this one!

NOTE: THIS is a good sturdy easy to grip sliding door handle BUT it can only be attached securely to the door frame from its rear side!!! It has recessed female threaded screw boss castings on the back side because it is meant to be used only with a handle on the opposite side that has screw holes going completely through that handle and then long enough to reach the predrilled female threaded holes on the rear of this new handle and spaced correctly on center(screw - to - screw) same distance apart as the holes in the other side handle whether that handle is on the inside or on the outside. (The following is only necessary to read if you are planning on installing this handle yourself If not, stop here!) When I carefully disassembled the handles on both sides I could see that with screws about an inch longer but same thread size , I could attach this new handle using the same screw holes already on the inside handle and thru the door and the additional length screws will reach the threaded female screw bosses on the back side of the new handle casting. FYI the Big Orange sign store didn't have the longer screws in the thread size needed but the local ACE Hardware did! Ah, YES, another satisfied AMAZON customer(my wife, I mean!) HER door is fixed.

Works well, not hard to install at all

Got a broken handle on my sliding door, found this on Amazon. Make sure the 2 screws on handle is 3-15/16" center to center which mine was. Easy replacement took less than 15 minutes. Comes with 3 set of screws - long, medium and short also the flip pin that insert into the latch. I ended up using my own original screws since they seem to fit better but I could have use the medium size. Looks to be well made and much less expensive than my local hardware store. Glad I found these online! Easy recommendation and will buy again if needed.

I recently had plantation shutters installed, including a beautiful addition for my patio doors. Problem... the existing handle projected too far out and the sliding plantation panels could not be closed. After searching for a new low profile handle, I settled on this one. I can now slide the panels completely shut although the louvered shutters cannot be adjusted while the panels are closed, but I can live with that. The issues with the handle created another problem, though. The screws that extend through the door and engage the outside handle are too long. I had to resort to using the screws from the old handle, which are black. The lock pin also presented a problem. It is about 1/16" too wide to fit into the existing lock mechanism so, again I had to use the pin from the old lock, which also has a black handle. This makes the whole handle took pretty tacky. I'm a 50-something year old female and don't have an extensive set of tools to modify these problems so when the company sent me an email asking me to contact them with any concerns before posting a review, I was happy to do so. I've sent two emails and have had no reply. I did get a voice mail from a company rep but when I called back, I had to leave a message and to date have had no response from the company. Bottom line.... I'll have to hit a big box store and find a remedy.

Great replacement when our handle is over worked.

Do not buy this product! if I could give this thing a zero rating, I would. Though the handle itself is good, the little bolts it comes with are the wrong length. it comes with 5 bolts. 2 long ones, 2 medium ones and 1 short one. why only 1 short bolt? I have no idea. The messed up thing is, none of them were the correct length! the long and medium bolts were still too long and the short one was too short. when I tried the long ones first and it would leave maybe about 1/2in gap between the surface of the door and the handle, causing the handle to feel loose. the short one couldn't even reach the other side of the outside handle. the medium ones were close but still left a gap about 1/4in off the door meaning it was still a bit loose. in fact this is where my official problem surfaced. thinking that it only had a bit of space left, I thought i could screw it in just a bit more. turns out i ended up overtorquing it causing it to become stuck. so now i have a loose handle which I can't unscrew out. after several failed attempts to unscrew it, the screw head is now rounded out. so I have only 2 options. drill it out or try to slide in a saw between the door and the handle and cut off the bolt. Hopefully I don't scratch up my door in the process. I am completely unsatisfied and will be returning it as soon as I can remove it from my door. Do not buy this handle folks!

This is a great replacement handle! Come with all of the necessary hardware and is secure. Super easy to install and if done correctly, it's solid! I see a fee reviews indicating that the handle was wobbly after installation but I honestly think that is operator error and the handle isn't placed correctly. I've had no issues with the locking mechanism. I didn't really have high expectations but I would give this a 5/5 and would buy again (although I hope I don't have to). I had this in my shopping cart for a long time (months). I noticed the price fluctuates a lot... I ordered mine for $33CAD. I've seen as low as $27 and as high as $73!

This handle arrived promptly and as advertised. Installation was fairly easy. Initially and like the Anonymous reviewer from Dec 10/20, I too thought the handle seemed a bit wobbly. However, I could then see that the receiving holes in the door frame needed to be enlarged slightly (easily done with a round file) such that the handle would seat properly on the frame. In my situation, 1 set of mounting screws were too long and the other set a bit short so I had to file down the longer set. Again, no big deal. Good value.

Does work well and the build is great. However the screws provided were all too long so I still had to trim the shortest screws provided using a small angle grinder. Hence the 4 star.
