Works great so far
Matched the temperature perfectly out of the box. And the salinity reading was closer the pool store on the water sample then my pools digital system!!

Nothing i seen better for the price.
Think im rinning on about 6 months with this thing and no failures or disappointments yet so I cant complain at this price. Used daily for saltwater, freshwater, and hydroponics.

Works
Easy to use. Easy to read. Great price compared to more expensive ones. I just needed something simple to keep an eye on the salinity in my sea monkey/brine shrimp tank. Does its job. Instructions are very clear.

Complicated
I’m not a chemist so I couldn’t use it. So simple (my level) directions. I thought the tester would do all the work, not. Sticking with salt strips.

read exactly as i did with test strips but done instantly
accurate without calibration

Not good for salt readings, even with calibration. But ph seems right.
ph readings seem to be fine, but my salt readings are too low with this meter. I bought this so I could calibrate my in-pool salt sensor (part of my Jandy Aquapure system). My system was saying 3100 ppm, and this meter said 2500 ppm. I bought the calibration liquid 12.88ms (for pools), and it still measured the same after calibration. I had a local pool store take a reading and they got 2750 ppm. Ok, not bad, so I adjust my pool sensor for 2800 ppm....but then I added 40lbs of salt, which adjusts my pool by 300 ppm (I've owned the pool for 20 years....I know the values). The pool sensor now says 3100 ppm, but this meter still reads only 2650, when it should have read 2800-2900.
