Our original remote died. I got this one as a replacement. Just be aware, that it's not solar powered. It runs on 2 AAA batteries. It was probably in the description, but I didn't get that far into the weeds on the details. No worries. Just making sure that if solar power / recharging is important to you, this is not for you. Otherwise, it does what it's supposed to do.

I've lost all sorts of remotes in the past and replaced them with universals and such and out of all the replacements this one went the smoothest. Not sure if this is an imported product or not but I'd buy it again based on performance. I purchased it for the a Vizio D55x-G1 and though I didn't try it out of the box, I hear it works out of the box. In my case I performed the type selection process before trying it on the tv. I used the first code available for Vizio SmartCast and all worked as advertised. The only issue was the location of the battery access. Man do not and I mean do not get frustrated as you try to figure out how to put batteries into it. Just slide the edge off like the enclosed instructions say and you will be fine. Don't be a Homer Simpson and fail to tread the instructions. I've read other reviews that said they didn't receive instructions with their device and if this is the case with you, just look it up online. I love this remote more than I can say I’ve had several remotes and none of them even the ones that go with the TVs or come with the TVs are not as easy as this one. Walked in the room turned the TV off, then appointed the remote to the TV push the on button it came on everything‘s working perfect I may have to buy stock in this company.😂🥰❤️

I have an old 2016 Vizio that I use as a secondary tv. I did not realize that my tv model number was not listed before I bought the remote but when it arrived it worked perfectly, so it really does work with all Vizios

It would be good to know if you are suppose to have the Vizio Television turned ON before you start THIS universal remote, as it doesNOT tell you in their little amount of directions on the piece of paper that comes with the remote. If this remote’s ( piece of paper), called directions, would of showed what every single button is suppose to do I might of kept it, but NO, I will be returning it. Of course as in all other remotes I have owned, I went directly to the battery compartment put in the batteries and pushed power button on this universal remote well NO You are to not TOUCH any buttons on the remote UNTIL You READ the first line of instructions which SPECIFICALLY says pit batteries in and TRY it ( what they mean is TOTALLY it should just start working. Well no it doesn't! not on this remote anyway So I did A1. instruction then A.2) and Remote still not working on my Vizio television thst has the HDMI 1 hook up to our CABLE device and our HDMI 2 hook up to our FireTV streaming device. But on instruction A.3) it says to check the function of the REMOTE ! What remote are they talking about , is it their REMOTE or my VIZIO television remote or my cable tv remote or my Fire TV remote ?????? This company wherever it is from does not give directions so that someone who knows Nothing about remotes other than turning them on knows what they mean by check the FUNCTION of the REMOTE! Direction need to be very very specific and BIT generalized . from #3 direction on I donot know of I am suppose to go on and do B. C.D. or what . They should of said if A. directions donot work do B. If B directions doNot work do C, If C. doesn't work do D. And I canNOT ask them directly because Amazon artificial intelligence tries to answer pre conceived questions which mine was NOT so I need to talk to the company customer service but CANNOT because there is NO listing for them not an email address or phone number , Nothing!
