Is it heat tolerant?. Meaning if I want to make a syrup which will cook on a low fire for a bit of time, is the extract still effective. thanks

depends on the product, some will lose efficacy at higher temperatures so the lower the temperature the less you will lose as many types of alkaloids are destroyed by heat an or evaporate

As noted in my review of the product, this product no longer contains maltodextrin, and has not for well over a year. when I last purchased it FOUR YEARS AGO, it contained maltodextrin. Now it is just dandelion root powder.

My review is the only review which mentions maltodextrin. That is why I updated it with "(edit- NOTE new formula does NOT contain maltodextrin)". My initial review was made when I received the product four years ago. This stuff is so strong that I am only now finally ready to purchase more.
