Iwata-Medea NEO TRN 1 Trigger Airbrush

I'm a hobby enthusiast who mainly builds model cars and needed a brush to compliment my IWATA HP-C. Don't get me wrong ,I love the HP-C which is primarily used for fading, fogging and templet work, but needed an airbrush that lays down a wide pattern. After watching a few reviews of this NEO TR1 I was hooked and purchased it immediately. Since I primarily use acrylic paints and polyurethanes the first test was Vallejo primer. It shot thru the brush flawlessly with no thinning. Next I moved on to my craft paint which I use a 50 / 50 mix of paint and pledge acrylic clear and again performed brilliantly. What I really like about this brush is the trigger action and the way it fits in your hand. Pull back the trigger slightly for air then pull the trigger back further for paint. It has a trigger stop on the end of the brush so you can dial up the same amount paint with every depression. After using this brush for a while now I hardly use the trigger stop because the brush is so accurate and precise you become comfortable squeezing the trigger and laying down the right amount of paint. CONCLUSION; it's an IWATA ! What do expect ! It's well made, easy to use and easy to clean. 5 STARS ALL DAY LONG!

I just started using an airbrush several months ago and have used them enough to know what works and what doesn't. I use Vallejo paint for all my aircraft models and this Iwata airbrush is so easy to use and always works. I am very careful with all my airbrushes, I have three other airbrushes that are a different brand and they tend to clog easier than this Iwata airbrush. The Neo TRN 1 is my favorite and delivers paint smooth and accurate from tiny lines to bigger surfaces. Well worth the money for the ease of use and cleaning and operation.

I have had this airbrush for a few years now. Switched out from the Iwata Neo regular airbrush because of hand cramp on longer paint jobs. It was my intention to use the TRN1 for the longer jons and the Neo for the rest of the time. The Neo very quickly became unused. Excellent airbrush, have only ever replaced the nozzle and needle one time and the only time I have any issues is getting into tight areas. Parts are small and fiddly when cleaning, which needs to do often but this is the same with any airbrush.

I've used the air brush a few times now. It works just fine. For me, the best feature is the pistol style trigger. My hands aren't what they use to be. And the button types are hard on my fingers. Especially for control. Clean up is much nicer and easier than my old siphon style air brush also. Which is a Paasche TS Talon air brush I bought years ago, when I was a younger man. I also have a Iwata LP50 touch up spray gun that I used regulary to spray high temp ceramics for 10 years with great succes. So this air brush being an Iawata also helped me make my choice. I am not sorry I bought it.

I know a lot of people sing high praises for this brand and I went for the name brand and well...I have issues with the brand. My first airbrush, not this one, I bought from the company I returned because it didn't work. The top trigger styles aren't comfortable for me and then I saw this and thought I'd give it a try. I'm going to say, for me, this airbrush could work better. I've had surgery on my hand and the handle seems to fit over the surgery scar and isn't comfortable. It is also sort of small. I have a different brand of airbrush I think is a very good airbrush. The difference between the two is day and night. The trigger on this brush isn't as smooth as the other brush and this brush requires more air pressure to work like I want it to paint. I guess I'm not so happy with the brand. I've had three of their airbrushes and no joy with any of them.

great airbrush if my ex had any talent at all this would have helped their small business alot

I have a small business doing temporary tattoos. I have a few different brushes. Most are Iwata Evo in both gravity feed and siphon. I'll be replacing them with this brush over time. The action is smooth. It gives me great control. Easy to use and clean. And, the pistol grip is the best part of it. It does take a little getting used to,due to the way the air is either on or off, while the paint flow changes as you pull the trigger further back once you reach that point. Still, as you get used to it, it is so much smother to use. Also, less likely to spill.

Hier handelt es sich um eine doubele action airbrush mit pistolengriff. Die pistole ist, aus super gute Materialien gefärticht und sehr gut verabeitet. Sie liefert eine gute spritzmuster und die Reinigung ist nicht schwieriger als beim "normalem" aribusch typen. Highly recommended.

This thin feels like an extension of my hand, My old classic style was always difficult for me to get fine control. 30 years in trades and injuries. This Air brush feels natural and precise. I cant express my love for it enough!

Fantastic airbrush - great build quality, excellent feel, comfort and control. I just love it. Have been using Iwata HP-C plus prior to purchasing this - don’t think I will go back. Ever

What can I say? This is a fantastic airbrush! I broke all my fingers years ago,and really struggle to hold a pen,so I have found it hard to use a normal gravity feed brush. I saw this being reviewed on YouTube, and it got great reviews from professional sprayers on there. I am so please with this brush, takes a little bit of getting used to, but wow! Results are great. I can't recommend this enough for people with bad hands like myself. Is a bit pricey for a basic kinda brush,but in my own opinion it's well worth it. Love it,love it,love it.
