Works great for the price I using it over 300feet, I had to figure out it had an on-off switch on the transmitter on the side of the case. Instructions are not great but if you solder two wires and different locations you can make it through various things with the relay make sure you have an OHM meter when you're playing with it but anybody with simple electronic knowledge should be able to figure it out, I will buy another one

Good news - the receiver is tiny and has SPDT relay output, bad news the receiver is tiny, changing operating mode requires skill with SMD in tiny spaces. Excellent range. Reliable operation. No documentation to explain "learn" feature, had to re-solder the code jumpers on a spare transmitter to get it to work with the original receiver.

Wired it into a remote generator about 400 feet from my shop to cycle for heavy loads. Works perfect! The receiver is a small delicate thing about the size of your thumb so you need to mount and protect it. Instructions are weak but four wires are easy to identify. I don't have to raise the antenna on the remote, it just does the trick. Great bargain

Having to desolder a nearly microscopic component amd then resolder the component to the pcb isn't a reasonable ask for the layman. I needed this switch to act as a momentary switch rather than a single pole. Sad that a switch in the pcb couldn't be added to solve this basic need.

I was so shocked with the operation of this relay. Absolutely incredible range. The unit comes as a latching relay and I had to change mine to momentary, a little challenged there because the soldering terminals are so small but not a big problem. Super price for a great unit!!

UPDATE My original review was 5 stars and you can read the review below. I've updated the review to 1 star because these things chew threw batteries. I've connected them to a 9v battery and it lasts 2 days max. This is true without even using the remote. I have no idea how this circuit is chewing through so much so fast but it makes them useless. I have two of these devices and they both do the same thing. This makes me pretty sad because they actually work well when they work. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My fireplaces only had a toggle switch. I didn't want to pay $100+ for a fireplace remote so I bought one of these for each fireplace and they work great. Note: If you buy a 9v battery and the "T Type Clip Connector" it will make your life a lot easier. Pros: - Small - Easy to use - multiple configurations - really long distance Cons: - Instructions sucks so if you're not great with electronics you might have trouble getting them working. - Wires they come with are fragile so you might want to replace them.

The range is not as good as discribe. I tested on new battery, flat distance. It is working 800 fts.

The receiver is so small it's nearly impossible to work on. The rang however is pretty good.
