Godox AD200 Gen 2 โ A Step Forward in Versatility and Convenience
The Godox AD200 has long been a favorite for photographers seeking a portable yet powerful light, and with the release of the AD200 Gen 2, Godox has refined the design in ways that make the light even more user-friendly and efficient. 1. Improved On/Off Switch โ No More Accidental Power-Ups One of the standout improvements on the AD200 Gen 2 is the new on/off switch. Unlike the first generation, which sometimes powered on accidentally while stored in a bag, the updated switch is now much more tactile and secure. This change ensures you wonโt have to worry about draining the battery unexpectedly when transporting the light, which is a huge plus for photographers on the go. 2. Full Compatibility with First-Gen Accessories Another excellent feature of the AD200 Gen 2 is its full compatibility with all accessories from the first-generation AD200. Whether you're using Godox's softboxes, grid modifiers, or other attachments, you won't need to repurchase accessoriesโeverything from your existing AD200 gear will work seamlessly with the new version. This backward compatibility adds significant value, especially for those already invested in the Godox ecosystem. 3. Sleek New Display Screen The AD200 Gen 2 introduces a new, updated display screen thatโs not only easier to read but also more aesthetically pleasing. The updated interface feels more modern, with sharper text and better contrast, which makes adjusting settings on the fly much more intuitive. It's a small change but one that enhances the overall user experience. The Godox AD200 Gen 2 is a worthy upgrade for photographers looking for an intuitive and reliable light. The thoughtful updates, such as the secure on/off switch, full accessory compatibility, and improved screen, make it a great choice for anyone already using the first-gen AD200 or looking to enter the Godox family. Whether you're a portrait photographer, event shooter, or enthusiast, the AD200 Gen 2 continues to provide the performance and flexibility that Godox is known for.

Compact, Powerful, and Incredibly Flash light
Iโve been using the Godox AD200 Pro II for a while and it has quickly become one of my favorite lighting tools. Itโs incredibly compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around. It fits in my camera bag without taking up too much space, and I barely notice the extra weight when Iโm traveling. Itโs a true โgrab-and-goโ strobe for location work. Donโt let the size fool youโthis strobe packs a serious punch. With 200Ws of power, itโs perfect for most portrait and product photography needs. It handles outdoor shooting surprisingly well, even in moderately bright conditions. The color stability is excellent, and the flash duration is fast enough to freeze motion. One of the standout features is the ability to switch between the bare-bulb and speed light heads. This versatility lets me adapt to different shooting scenarios without carrying extra gear. Pair it with a soft box or umbrella, and youโve got a complete lighting solution. Also, it is fully compatible with the Godox X-series trigger system, and itโs super easy to set up and control remotely. The TTL and HSS modes work flawlessly, giving me flexibility and confidence during fast-paced shoots. If youโre looking for a portable, versatile, and reliable flash, the Godox AD200 Pro II is an excellent choice. Itโs small enough to carry everywhere but powerful enough to deliver professional results.

Amazing and versatile off camera flash!
The AD200 Pro II is really a wonderful piece of hardware when it comes to the Godox flash line! I own the original AD200 and didn't see the need to upgrade to the 200 Pro. The 200 Pro II offers so many more features than the before. It now has 10 stops of light difference than the Pro (9 stops) and regular Ad200 (8 stops) and can step down all the way to 1/512 which make working with f1.2 or f1.4 even better to achieve a natural light look at higher speed apertures. It has HSS still which is always great to have to capture action portraits. My favorite part is that this can still be combined with a 2nd AD200 Pro II and get 400w of output if combined with the AD-B2. The heads are both upgraded as well with bi-color LEDs so less guessing and trial/error and more getting the shot right. The ability to do prop lighting with the LEDs show how much light is hitting the subject is wonderful and both the Fresnel head and the barebulb have the LEDs. The accessories are slightly changed as well. The charger works off USB C and and is much smaller, its similar to the charger on the V1, I just pack the charger base in my camera bag because I always carry USB C cables and chargers with me. One less thing to worry about. Its so much less bulky than the older charger. The AD200 Pro II also has groves for the Light stand holder to slot into now, no more ruining the body to get a secure fit. The color screen along with wireless sync to the X3 trigger makes it a seamless transition to connect to along with my AD600 Pro IIs. I'm very happy with this purchase and recommend this to anyone looking for their first off camera flash!

Great Flash for Family and Newborn Photography
Iโm a children and family photographer who has primarily worked with natural light for outdoor sessions. Occasionally, Iโve used the Godox TT350 flash in backlit situations or when indoor lighting was insufficient, and it worked very well for me. Recently, I decided to set up a studio in my basement for newborn photography and purchased the Godox AD200Pro2. Initially, I was considering the AD300, but after comparing the two, I realized that the AD200Pro2 could fully meet my needs. After using it for a few weeks, Iโm absolutely in love with it! The price is very affordable, and the compact size makes it perfect for a small studio or for on-the-go shoots. It comes with a convenient carrying case, and the user interface is simple and straightforward, making it easy to adjust settings even during a session. The Pro mode ensures accurate and stable color temperature, which is essential for capturing delicate skin tones in newborns and children. The built-in Godox 2.4G wireless system integrates seamlessly with other Godox flashes and triggers, allowing for effortless multi-light setups. Overall, the Godox AD200Pro2 is an incredible flash for its price, offering excellent performance and versatility. Itโs a fantastic choice for photographers looking to take their indoor photography to the next level. Highly recommended!

GREAT strobe for real estate
I primarily use the Godox AD200 Pro II for real estate Flambient photography, though Iโve also employed it as a key light for portrait work. For real estate shots, I find the barebulb setup delivers the most natural and even lighting. The controls are intuitive and easy to navigate, making adjustments quick and straightforward. The unit pairs seamlessly with ProPhoto triggers โ I havenโt tested it with Godox triggers yet, but it seems highly compatible with standard wireless systems. One minor improvement Iโd like to see is a dedicated spot to attach a shoulder strap, as many photographers use this flash handheld during real estate shoots. Overall, the AD200 Pro II comes very well packaged in a zippered case that provides excellent protection. With 500 full-power flashes, 0.01โ1.8s recycling, and a 2900mAh battery, it seems to last forever and recycles super quick. Highly recommended for both real estate and portrait photographers.

Godox AD200 Pro II: A Powerful Portable Lighting Solution
I've been using the Godox AD200 Pro II for a couple of weeks now, and I'm seriously impressed. This little light packs a punch! It's incredibly portable, lightweight (in its class), and powerful enough to handle most shooting scenarios. What I love: User-Friendly: The new interface is a breeze to navigate. The color screen is super clear, even in bright sunlight, and the LED indicators make it easy to adjust settings on the fly. Powerful Performance: Don't let its size fool you. This thing can crank out some serious light. The battery life is pretty impressive too, so I can shoot for hours without worrying about running out of juice. Versatile Accessory Compatibility: The AD200 Pro II plays well with a variety of accessories, like softboxes, beauty dishes, and reflectors. This gives me endless creative possibilities. Durable Build: It feels solid and well-built, and it can handle the rigors of everyday use. The Pro II is a significant upgrade over its predecessor. The new model boasts a much brighter and clearer screen, making it super easy to navigate settings, even in bright sunlight. In terms of power and performance, the Pro II is a powerhouse. It has faster recycle time and improved cooling system means I can shoot for longer without worrying about overheating. The Mark I, while still a capable light, can struggle with longer shoots. One of the standout features of the Pro II is its LED indicators. They make it a breeze to check settings at a glance, especially in low-light conditions. The external power port is another handy addition, perfect for studio setups. The Mark I lacks these features, making it less convenient to use. Another thing I really appreciate about the Pro II is the included charger. It's much more compact than the previous version and uses a usb-c port. This is very convenient when traveling. Speaking of which, the box is really nice for traveling too!

compact and lightweight design
The Godox AD200 is an exceptional portable flash that offers a perfect balance of power, versatility, and value. One of the standout features is its compact and lightweight design, making it easy to carry for outdoor shoots without adding much bulk. Despite its small size, the 200Ws output is impressive and sufficient for a wide range of scenarios, from studio portraits to outdoor shoots. The built-in lithium battery is another highlight, providing long-lasting performance with hundreds of full-power flashes on a single charge. The high-speed sync (HSS) capability up to 1/8000s is a game-changer, enabling seamless shooting in bright sunlight while maintaining shallow depth of field.

Excited to upgrade to AD Pro200 II!
I am a loyal customer of Godox, since their stuff is good quality and not expensive. I was excited to upgrade to the AD200 Pro II this Thanksgiving, and it's definitely a great addition to my lighting gear. First, this new AD200 Pro II is portable, but it's very powerful too. It has two different heads โ one for a normal flash and one for soft light with a better cooling system. It also has a bi-color modeling lamp that allows users to adjust both the brightness and color temperature, offering more control in creating ambient light or adjusting for specific lighting conditions. Godox also made the screen better and easy to see. The menus are easy to understand, with multiple new language support options. Even with many features, it's simple to use. It feels strong and like it's good quality. The battery is also long-lasting, making it easy to use for photography daily.
