I’ve been using the Godox AD200 Pro II for a while and it has quickly become one of my favorite lighting tools. It’s incredibly compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around. The AD200 Pro II is really a wonderful piece of hardware when it comes to the Godox flash line! I own the original AD200 and didn't see the need to upgrade to the 200 Pro. The 200 Pro II offers so many more features than the before. It now has 10 stops of light difference than the Pro (9 stops) and regular Ad200 (8 stops) and can step down all the way to 1/512 which make working with f1.2 or f1.4 even better to achieve a natural light look at higher speed apertures. It has HSS still which is always great to have to capture action portraits. My favorite part is that this can still be combined with a 2nd AD200 Pro II and get 400w of output if combined with the AD-B2. The heads are both upgraded as well with bi-color LEDs so less guessing and trial/error and more getting the shot right. The ability to do prop lighting with the LEDs show how much light is hitting the subject is wonderful and both the Fresnel head and the barebulb have the LEDs. The accessories are slightly changed as well. The charger works off USB C and and is much smaller, its similar to the charger on the V1, I just pack the charger base in my camera bag because I always carry USB C cables and chargers with me. One less thing to worry about. Its so much less bulky than the older charger. The AD200 Pro II also has groves for the Light stand holder to slot into now, no more ruining the body to get a secure fit. The color screen along with wireless sync to the X3 trigger makes it a seamless transition to connect to along with my AD600 Pro IIs. I'm very happy with this purchase and recommend this to anyone looking for their first off camera flash!

The external power port is another handy addition, perfect for studio setups. The Mark I lacks these features, making it less convenient to use. Another thing I really appreciate about the Pro II is the included charger. It's much more compact than the previous version and uses a usb-c port. This is very convenient when traveling. Speaking of which, the box is really nice for traveling too!
