Does this come with the door anchor and exercise chart?

Yes. And SPRI also has an app that has video exercises for the resistance bands

Why are the two cloth bands I got one supposedly for the door and the other for the ankle the same exact size. And why does only one have a ring?

The spri resistance band kit has 5 color coded cords light to heavy. 2 cord handles. 1 ankle strap the one with the ring, one door attachment( the one without the ring and a bag. If you need an instructions I would be happy to send one

What is/are the advantage(s) of purchasing the bands separately (because, separately purchased, these tubes are about $65 more)?

The xertubes are meant to be sold separately. The resistance set goes up to 150lbs. With the xertubes if you want more weight/resistance you can purchase more bands and customize the resistance.
