Sensate Relaxation Device – Vagus Nerve Toning for Calm, Sleep & Stress

Sensate is a useless, overpriced, poorly manufactured piece of plastic junk smaller than a soap bar. It's as light as a candy bar and feels hallow on the inside. Nothing about it is special, well-made, high-tech or impressive. Paid nearly $400 for this item and I regret it by 100%. Returning it for a refund. Here are 5 reasons why: 1. The App - Part 1 You can not use this item without downloading it's app. There are TWO total settings you can turn on and off while using this device and its app. Music volume and vibration intensity so the manufacturer could have easily added these as buttons on the item itself but chose to force the user into downloading an app. The app literally has 2 options on it. Volume an intensity. Nothing else! There are no logical reasons for having the app! The REAL reason you're forced to download the app is so the greedy manufacturer can ask you to signup for an account, gain your name, email and other personal information so they can keep asking you to sign up for a yearly membership for an additional $49. So the entire point of the app is to squeeze another $49 out of you. Shady and greedy. 2. The App - Part 2 If forcing the customer to download a useless app as an excuse to make another $49 out of them wasn't shady enough, the app is also broken, poorly designed and full of errors. I just spent 20 minutes trying to get my device to connect to the app. It did without problems for the first 2 days of using it but now it won't connect longer than 2 seconds. It keeps disconnecting. The 20 minutes I spent were to troubleshoot. Nothing works. This thing broke and won't connect to the app after 2 days of use. 3. Unreasonable Price I paid nearly $400 for this thing. It's not worth even $49! What's so special about it? It's literally a small and portable vibrator. All it does is vibrate! 4. Useless and unhelpful In my experience of using it for 2 days before it broke Sensate did nothing. It doesn't help with relaxation, sleep, vagus nerve, stress or anything else it advertises itself to help with. It's 100% useless. All it does is vibrate. It's literally a near $400 vibrator. One could probably spend $20 on other certain items that vibrate identical to this thing if you know what I mean. You're probably considering buying such products because you're stressed, sick, etc. I can only imagine. I'm writing this review to share with others that this product was 100% useless for me. It is poorly built, low quality and overall useless. It also looks very ugly so not exactly something you can wear out and about without looking strange.

This has been an incredible, life-changing device for me. I have a stressful job; but who doesn’t? This device puts me to sleep almost instantly, and I wake up with it still on my chest, so I know I have remained in the same position all night. I’ve also found deep relaxation from just one 10-min session when I’ve used it on breaks at work. It acts as a total reset, and my heart rate drops to a very relaxed 53 beats per min! I did have some problems getting it to connect, but customer service was the best I’ve ever experienced, and I got it connected! I do recommend this to others. It’s cheaper in the long run, and healthier, than other ways people “medicate” their anxiety with a glass of wine, eating to excess, etc. If you purchase it on Amazon, you have nothing to lose if it doesn’t help you; just return during the return window. I’m not returning mine, though!

GOOD: This product worked for me. I'd consider it in my top 5 along for addressing my anxiety disorder, along with exercise, diet, my actual anxiety medication, and magnesium glycinate. It's not ideal as a temporary band-aid, but if used daily, I don't see how you won't see results, as well as sleep better. The product is a 5/5. BAD: I've had nothing but problems with the support. I bought this product, which advertises itself as "with PLUS", and did not get Plus. The PLUS structure is predatory, with about 90% of the content locked behind it. Content locking is an industry standard, but the ratio feels very bad. Finally, my product appears to be defective, it "chirps" for half of the free soundscapes - it is very disruptive so I then cannot use those soundscapes. I've contacted support half a dozen times and they assured me it was not defective and a patch was coming, but they have not patched the product for half a year. The support and service is a 1/5. For context, there are probably like 70 soundscapes available in PLUS, and I am able to use about five of the dozen or so of the free ones I have access to, as the others make chirping sounds on the device. They could have a stellar product on their hands if they would actually stand behind it, especially when charging $350 for a vibrating stone. I love my Sensate and use it every day, but the day it dies, I will not be looking at Sensate for a replacement as I assume there are similar products out there with actual service behind them.

This has helped me and my family more times than I can count. Many times when we were on the verge of thinking about going to the ER. Helped bring heart rate down. Calm the autonomic nervous system. Calm anxiety. Improve blurry vision when my nervous system is sympathetic. I’ve worn it to bed and at work. Whenever my nervous system is in fight or flight.

It is a very interesting item. Infrasounds on my chest and music in my ears. With a great choice of audio tracks which interact with the vibrational nature of the Sensate, which placed on one's sternum feels like a light stone, the relaxation and activation of the vagus nerve and energies in the body is very substantial. I fall asleep most of the time as I play the 30 minutes tracks, get deeply relaxed in the 20-minute ones, get rid of tension in the shortest ones. A great, great item.
