Review: Beautiful Mature YA - I think this five stars aren't enough for how good this book was! I didn't expect it to be as good as it turned out. I had seen this book way before it was published and got famous! Even then it intrigued me. I was drawn by its cover. It was mysterious, dark and compelling you to look at it. I love when a cover draws you in. They hype is so worth it. I felt this story like my own story. it inspired it so much. The author has a wonderful talent of words which gripped up and holds hostage of your attention. Its beautiful. It is dark gothic academia story with hint of romance. At times, it was scarry too and if the words made you look back at the wall in horror it has done its work! I always believed you can only see horror but this book made me feel it to. At times, I couldn't read at night for I was sacred of the stories written in this story. It talks a great deal about inequality among the two genders and mental health. I loved how the character of Effy grew till the end. I want to be her so badly. I feel even if you end up not liking the book, you will get inspired and feel connected by women's emotions, superstitions, magic and great divide between the borders. it felt like author was also writing problems, political problems we are facing currently. In its entirety, this book is definitely worth a read. Recommended for mature YA. Review: Drowning read - Effy Sayre, a girl who believes in fairy tales but then she has visions and dreams which she clearly is not certain about. Her doctor gives her piles to suppress those hallucinations and pills for sleeping. She loved to become a literature graduate. However, she ends up in architecture. But for her love of literature, she enters a contest from Myrddin’s, to redesign her favourite author, Emrys Myddrin’s house, who passed away few months ago. On reaching there she meets Preston, a student of literature scholar who is working on Myrddin’s life and books. Preston wanted to prove the all the books that the author claimed his were not his own work, and so is a fraud, However, Effy being his fan, otherwise. They both do get started so well. But then together start working towards gathering all the details of the author, digging into the past and unrevealed certain facts which were unknown to anyone. Is it all a fairy tale, is there something more than just an Author who is dead and his son wanting to redesign the entire place for safety and security purposes. Who is the widow whom none ever saw or spoke about. How it comes out and how they resolve it all builds the story. It is a good mystery, fantasy book. An inspiring ending to the book, is a cherry on the top. This is yet another random pick from one of the challenges and I guess it was a good pick after all.

About the packaging
This is one of my favourite book of all time. So I wanted to get 1 hardcover of it. But the packaging wasn't really good. The outer cover is scratched and torn some places. Please improve the packing.

Good quality HardBack
I will just talk about the quality of the book here. The size of the hardcover is smaller than the usual 24 cms but with a book of 380 pages that is good enough. The cover is matte with some gold details and the hardcover underneath is thick paper with cloth relief. The printed paper quality is good, not too thin with moderate sized font with medium margins that makes it easy to read. Overall a good buy for the price. My seller was u-read and I got it delivered in perfect condition.

Good condition
For once, the book wasn't damaged and there was no denting or extremely dirty pages. I am happy and satisfied with the package.

My first Ava Reid Book !
The book was delivered timely in great condition and in a paper bag. It was not bubble wrapped though. The paper quality is quite good, attached images for your reference. The size of the book is quite small compared to the standard Hardback dimensions . However, I got this Hardback at quite a good deal hence this was worth the purchase. Good for gifting purposes too !

Best book for a cozy, autumn read.
The story flows easily and beautifully. The writing style is mature yet beginner friendly. It's very engrossing and has a great, satisfying ending, slow burn romance and follows the rivals to lovers trope. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this.
