This salt is more Pink Salt than Black Salt ...Based on the small amount of a sulpher smell, there is some black salt in it but it is mostly Pink salt. Black salt turns Black when wet(normaly a muted pink when fully ground and dry)... This salt did not turn black except for a few small sparse grains. The weight advertised is also not accurate. Black salt is also a mild salt and is not as salty as the salt in this container. Be careful when buying fully ground black salt because someone can easily sneak in Pink Salt which is much cheaper in general. Always buy Coarse black salt which will have some black haze to it before its ground to a fine powder and grind it down yourself with a spice grinder. For those of you that have issue with the smell, this is normal due to black salt being volcanic in nature and contains sulfer similar to garlic. Black Salt can be a great replacement for Garlic Salt. Based on what has been mentioned previously, be wary of this specific brand.

Taste like eggs 🥚 maybe good in food are something but be prepared for taste..I use on my eggs and sometimes just little bit to see if it helps my Blood Pressure..so far no change in B/P maybe because it's salt..

Purchased this for a vegan tofu frittata recipe. I tasted 1 small Crystal of the black salt & was overwhelmed with the strong eggy flavor. I used it in a tofu scramble today & the scramble was a hit with my scrambled egg lovers. Non-gmo, Himalayan black salt. Great product. Who knew!?

Excellent thought I would use this over and over again. I’d use it daily. I use it and everything especially for vegans. This is the thing that you like.

Honestly? It smells and tastes like eggs probably due to a concentration of sulferic compounds. The salt is course and youll need to grind it. Not as salty as other salts.

The flavour of this product is excellent, just the right level of "sulphur" to salt. Makes lovely eggy tasting tofu scramble. It came in the tub as shown unlike other reviewers have said. All-round, perfect.
