Perfect fit and very comfortable

Love these
I bought this brand originally from another company that has since gone out of business. Thankfully, there was a tag on them and I was able to order another pair here on amazon. These gloves are fantastic. Very well made They are not too tight. They give you just enough compression for pain I use them at night because I have Arthritis in my hands. When I wake up in the morning, my hands are no longer swollen and tight They are very comfortable to sleep in all night long. I highly recommend these. I have had the original pair for over 2 years. And they still work great. However, I thought it would be nice to have an additional pair, while the other ones are drying.

Amazing compression gloves
This is not my first pair of these gloves, I have two black, two grey. So why would I go for a 4/5? Because my most recent one after only wearing four times had all these holes in the right hand! I can’t figure it out! It’s just the right hand, and on both sides. There’s no explainable reason. I keep the gloves safely stored away. Especially because I’m always loosing my things. So the more organized I can remain, the better I am at not loosing it all. So the holes, a mystery and a bit annoying because quality overall with Imak has been outstanding. These are the brand of gloves that my occupational hand therapist suggests I have. I’ve had two different doctors now, and BOTH LIVE and DIE by this brand when it comes to compression gloves. I have OTHER brands, and showed her. I had different copper ones, I PERSONALLY didn’t like them. They’re too thin, but seams are irritating me, but not in the places you’d think. It’s where they cut off on my fingers because it’s just so awkward to have gloves cut off before your first knuckle, and then cut INTO the skin there. So, stopped wearing those ones. I have a pair of Vive that I was loving. But when she had me compare the compression of the Imak to Vive, I was amazed. I THOUGHT I was getting a compression fit on my Vive pair I had. But no, these Imak gloves are more snug around your hands in fingers WITHOUT feeling as though they’re going to cut off the circulation like the copper brand gloves. It compresses your hands in such a snug enough way that you have that feeling of a hug, without it feeling like a bear hug. I mean, they have a stronger compression strength then all the brands I have, BUT the material, the quality, the feel. It doesn’t FEEL that much different. EXECPT for when you have tendonitis like me, having that compression in those important areas all of a sudden, and everywhere ELSE just feel like a NORMAL feeling stretchy glove. THAT’S important. I can just WEAR them and DO my hand exercises of opening and closing my fingers because there’s resistance in JUST that act. But not SO MUCH that you have to FIGHT against it, but where first thing in the morning you’re waking up and there’s that early morning fatigue in your fingers/ hands, and that resistance is JUST what you need to do that stretching in the morning. Would I recommend Imak, I HAVE! I’ve been reaching out to OTHERS I know who have hand issues and letting THEM know that THESE are the gloves to have! That they are BACKED by professionals, and WORTH every penny! I have gone and gotten their wrist mouse pad to rest my wrist on when I’m using my stylist. And need that small support for my elbow or wrist. I really find that they know how to help with the strains of the hands.

Eased my pain
Surprisingly effective. Make sure they are a snug fit because that is what helps. I only need these for my left hand so i turn the right one inside out so i have two lefthanded gloves. But... they are also nice gloves for a cold day. Just enough open fingertip to use my phone.

Good glove for compression - sizes in description
I found these gloves through a recommendation of the Arthritis Foundation (The product is officially: IMAK Arthritis Gloves). We have spent years looking for products to help my daughter decrease swelling of the hand and wrist. These gloves were designed by an orthopedic surgeon and it shows by where the seams are. If you are wondering about size, IMAK's Website suggests measuring the hand from knuckle to knuckle on one side. Small size will be up to 3 1/8". Medium up to 3 1/2". Large up to 4". IMAK's page sells them for more than Amazon does so these are a good deal. They are fingerless, dark gray gloves, exactly as shown. Each glove extends past and provides some (but not great) compression for the wrist as well. They work best for the major knuckles and top of hand. The material is thin, soft, almost T-shirt like material (but stronger). They are pull on with no Velcro or buttons. The only visible seam on the hand is at the thumb. That seam increases support in the thumb area for problems like bursitis, or over use of the thumb. The other seam is at the bottom of each glove and is triangle stitched for support but it does not touch the wrist or hand. There was a tag on each glove that is visually annoying, small and at the bottom of the wrist. It does not cause any physical discomfort. I am not sure it can be totally removed without causing damage to th glove. The gloves fit easily in pockets when traveling and roll up smaller than a pair of dress socks. There is a night version but my daughter sleeps in these and also uses them during the day. They are expensive for only one pair but Amazon's price is less than the company or a medical supply. They have held up to daily use with careful care. I wash these like delicates, by hand, and dry them on a towel. I have put them in the dryer for a few minutes (no more) and they tightened back up. They would require a lingerie bag if placed in the washing machine. The gloves are best for patients with edema and arthritis. We found the best support from buying the smallest size you can stand as the smaller size might provide more pressure for pain relief. This is not the best option for raynauds patients. They are fingerless and thin so they do not protect from temperature changes where it is needed most. There is some compression in the fingers but it gets progressively weaker closer to the fingertip due to the opening. When they come out of the package they are the size of the "magic gloves" you buy during the winter. They return to that size when removed. Someone with severe arthritis may have issues pulling them on. They do not stretch much over time and the compression is not As stiff as a medical compression sock.

Arthritis Relief Big Time! IMAK Compression Arthritis Gloves
This is an update to my review, below. While I continue to love these gloves and wear them every day, they have a fatal flaw! They don't last very long. They are great for helping with arthritis pain. According to the measurements on the side of the box, I should be wearing an XS. However, the XS started falling apart within two days. So I went back to a size S. Still, the gloves do not last more than a few weeks. I take them off when I do anything physical (which is when I could use their help the most). Then I took it more serious and only wore them to sleep in, but still, they tear apart. They develop small holes and tear at the seams and also in the fingers. Since I first discovered these gloves mid-2016, I have ordered 21 pair. I hand wash them and air dry them. But sadly, every few weeks I find myself opening the next box on the shelf so I have a pair that doesn't have holes in them. I still wear them because the pain in my hands is so bad, and the gloves help SO MUCH. But I cannot afford to keep buying them at this rate. My next plan is to start physical therapy with the goal of strengthening my hands so I will be a candidate for surgery. I still think these gloves are amazing, but I wish they would last more than a couple of weeks. Keep this in mind as you read my initial review. These gloves are fantastic! I have HORRIBLE osteoarthritis in my hands. The pain is too much. So I started using Traumeel as hand lotion and I started wearing these gloves. The pain is GONE!!! I can even go a few days without wearing the gloves. I want to order a second or third pair, but I am unable to make up my mind about size. (According to the label that came with my first pair, I should order XS. But I am worried they will be too tight. The S seem to be getting the job done.) If you are suffering with arthritis in your hands, I highly recommend you get these gloves. They are thin enough that you can wear them as you go about your business. They are like a tight second skin. I can't imagine not having them now. I forget I have them on, they are that comfortable.

These are Perfect!
As a classical guitarist I've tried several compression gloves to help my arthritis and carpel tunnel issues -- not to play in, but to help with recovery after practice and to generally help me stay flexible. I wear these at night primarily as often I would wake up with my hands tingling or very sore. Being mostly cotton these are so much more comfortable (other's made my hands/wrists hot and itchy after an hour or so) and the fit of the XL is perfect for my wide hands providing just the right amount of even compression. Also, the wrist extends almost an inch further than some I have tried which really helps calm down the carpel tunnel issues in my left hand. (Another brand I tried was so loose on the wrist it was worthless in that regard, yet was tight on my knuckles.)

Check my description for tiny hands.
Tiny hands size info I'm a tiny woman (4'11", 100lbs). My ring size is a 4.0. The xs felt good but I had to size up because my Raynauds made my finger tips turn purple. The sm works better but doesn't provide any compression on my actual hands ( they are snug, but without the tight compression I was hoping i could get away with). My rheumatologist recommended these. Note, there is no way to take them off without them turning inside out. When that happens, I just wear them inside out, until I take them off again.( they are a little looser with the seams on the outside). They really do help my throbing joints thoough.
