Phone internet
Easy hook up. Power cord could be longer. Hooked up all eight Ethernet plugged. One was for my land line phone. After a couple of days internet stop working. Looked at my phone box, had two light on out of three. Unplug the phone box. Internet start working. Moved the box in another area of the house (with out the phone box.). Working fine. Don’t no why it stop working with the phone box.

8 port ethernet switch works fantastic, IT professional recommended!
Item Reviewed: TEROW Ethernet Switch,8 Port Gigabit with 2 Uplink Ports Unmanaged Network Switch, Metal Case Switch I discovered this item as I needed a very dumb switch and 8 full gigabit ethernet ports to connect to my router. First off, I would never recommend a plastic network switch. Switches and hubs get warm by function and plastic is an insulator. Metal is a conductor and allows the heat to dissapate the best. While I had a 8 port netgear switch that lasted me probably the last 5 or so years, 1 port is used to go to the other switch or router. With this setup, this allows 8 full gigabit ports and 2 uplink ports. While most people don't need dual uplink ports, its nice this switch has this functionality. Most can just simply use it as an 8 port gigabit switch with one fed back into their Wireless router, (my TP-link only has one). Its also quite interesting that this uses a standard usb port for power. I actually like this, as I don't have to find some unusual connector to power the hub in the future if the power supply should happen to fail. Also it probably uses less power than the old Netgear hub I had installed previously used. All in all, I can talk thru this switch between wireless and wired computers and share files and printers as I did previously with my dumb ethernet hub. Its also great to have the additional ethernet port freed up so I could expand my network by an additional CAT 6 wire as well. All in all, I am pleased with the TEROW Ethernet Switch,8 Port Gigabit with 2 Uplink Ports and would definately recommend this product.

2 uplink ports, Gigabit speed, all metal construction
The TEROW 1010G Network switch came in an anti-static bag, nicely boxed in a sturdy cardboard box (which arrived with no dents). Inside the box was the network switch, a 5 Volt 2 Amp power supply, a USB type-A to power cable, and an installation/warranty card (in English). The brand name "TEROW" appears nowhere on the box or the device. This network switch is made with all metal construction (always a plus in my opinion) which offers the benefits of better heat dissipation, and sturdiness. It features 4000 Volt "lightning protection", and 2 Gigabit uplink ports, as well as 8 Ethernet ports with separate fuses for each port, so that if one port stops working, the rest continue to work. It also has a switch on the back labelled "VLAN". The installation information is sparse, and there is no information at all about how to use this switch. There is no web site for the product or the seller on the box or the installation/warranty card. So support and any additional information must ALL be through their Amazon storefront. Unmanaged switches are pretty simple devices, and easy to set up. I plugged the switch up to my home network, and everything worked "out of the box" as it should. I am interested in how that "VLAN" switch might be used, and my only qualm with this product is the lack of documentation about that feature. At $24 (as of May 2023) price is very good, even without using that "VLAN" feature, so I will NOT subtract a star for the lack of documentation for the "VLAN" switch.
